We have more kittens and a ginger boy at our adoption this Saturday, 10/21/2023, from 11 to 2 at the Ahwatukee. Come find your new furbaby!
This is crazy Hank!
We recently introduced you to Winnie, our sweet Torbie kitten looking for a home. Winnie is part of a bonded pair that we are trying to keep together. We actually suggest all kittens are best in pairs. They truly do best with a friend to play with and cuddle.
Today we would like to introduce the other half of this bonded pair, this is Gus Gus. He loves a soft blanket to suckle and make biscuits on. If you happen to have one on you he will come snuggle himself to sleep. Sound on to hear his beautiful purr! 😻
Winnie and Gus Gus will both be at our adoption event at Petco in Ahwatukee on Saturday if you are interested in this sweet bonded pair.
Miss Winnie didn’t get adopted at the adoption event today. Her foster believes she would be best adopted with her pal, Gus Gus as she is much calmer with him. So we are hoping to adopt them as a pair. They are up at Petco in Ahwatukee this week in the kitty condos there if you are interested. You can go by any time that Petco is open to see them.
Here is a brief video of the pair.
Meet our beautiful litter of grey kitties! Who is looking for a grey kitten to add to their family? These babies are available. ❤️
Her wonderful foster taking Mamba (Mom-ba) out for a walk at Petco yesterday. Mamba is the mama of our sweet Snowshoe and tuxedo litter. All the Snowshoes have been adopted.
We have a few mama kitties in the rescue. These sweet ladies are all fixed and all very young and kitten-like themselves. Unfortunately mama kitties often come to us that are not even one year old!
We help them keep their babies safe and then get them fixed and a home of their own.
Sweet Kennedy
Kennedy and her son love to snuggle. She was found with two kittens, malnourished on a street corner. She was immediately friendly, loving, and loyal, and very very hungry. Kennedy has not been able to get over her brush with starvation and needs strict food intake management to thrive. She has so much love to give and would be ideal in a quiet home with a lot of quality time to nap alongside her human companion. She can be very bossy around other cats but doesn’t seem to mind dogs much. Kennedy is smart, food-motivated, and is looking for a forever home with her very own couch to lounge on.
My foster cat Sonora sleeping. We call her Sunny D. She is a total sweetheart. If interested in adopting Sonora call our hotline and ask for her foster mom Monica.
New bottle babies. Help name them. Both girls. Send in your votes for these cuties.
A hungry little Tortie and a dilute calico who only wants to sleep.
Meet Cookie again her Kittens are 8 weeks old now so she decided it's time to start making her rounds in the house. Cookie loves her buddy Chico the dog.
One of our mom's gave birth in the early hours. She had 6 babies this morning. 1 unfortunately was born still born after a hard labor. All the babies and mom are doing great and a you can see feeding like champs.
Here is a letter we received:
"To Cactus Cats Rescue,
I thought I'd contact your organization to let you know how Sergio is doing. It's been three months since I've brought him home (he told me his life story during the drive), and Sergio has made himself at home from the minute he entered my apartment. He is everything I could have hoped for, and more than I could have imagined!
I quickly discovered some interesting quirks to his personality, besides his love of belly rubs. He loves to play fetch, although he is picky on which toys he'll deign to bring back. He prefers his water fresh from the tap, even if that tap takes the form of a running shower faucet. He enjoys people-watching from my windowsills. He likes to fall asleep in my arms cradled like a baby. He charms all of my guests within a couple of minutes of meeting them, and is turning into something of a therapy animal for graduate students in Flagstaff.
Our routines have quickly adapted to each other over these three months, and now I can hardly imagine life without this wonderful cat. I'm a truly lucky human who is privileged to be able to spoil this cat to his heart's content. Thank you to Cactus Cats Rescue and his foster family for taking care of such a lovely animal.
Sincerely,
-Julia D
PS. He's extremely photogenic. I've attached a couple of photos of him.
