With the holiday season in full effect, we know that there may be treats on your pet’s wish list. We also know that you are likely tired of the toothbrushing battle. Which is why we recommend dental treats!
Dental treats are a great way to reduce the severity of periodontal disease.

We urge our pet parents to look for the VOHC Seal of Acceptance and to avoid hard treats such as synthetic or natural bones.

The holiday season is now in full swing, which brings excitement, but for male cats, it can also bring extra stress—and with it, a higher risk of Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD).

If your cat seems to be urinating more frequently, straining, or showing signs of discomfort, it could be a sign of FLUTD.

Simple steps like creating a quiet, cozy space or using pheromone sprays, can help reduce stress.

Our clinic is here to help! We can provide a thorough review of your cat’s health and offer guidance on environmental changes to keep them calm. Contact us today!

We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you! Due to the growth of our dedicated team, Stonecrest Animal Hospital is now able to offer Saturday office hours, making it even more convenient for you to care for your beloved pets.

Starting in the New Year, we will be open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month for wellness exams and vaccine appointments. This is the perfect opportunity to get your pet’s annual or biannual check-up or vaccine boosters without disrupting your weekday schedule! Additionally, we will also be offering a limited number of grooming appointments on these Saturdays, allowing your pet to get pampered before the new week begins.

Please note that due to our reduced availability on Saturdays, we are unable to see medical or urgent cases such as ear problems, itching skin, vomiting & diarrhea. However, our team remains available to schedule these and other appointments during regular business hours for any medical needs.

To book an appointment or grooming session, simply call us at 602.996.0966 or visit our website at StonecrestAnimalHospital.com.

We look forward to caring for your furry friends and helping them stay healthy and happy in the New Year!

🦠Leptospirosis is an infection of Lepto bacteria. Found in the urine of infected mice, rats, racoons, skunks and possums, this bacteria gets excreted into the environment.

Dogs are most often infected by drinking from a contaminated water source. The bacteria then targets the liver and kidneys, leading to serious illness and sometimes death.

You can prevent infection with an annual lepto vaccine and booster, good for dogs over 12 weeks old.

Help us spread awareness on the importance of the lepto vaccine by sharing this post!

Does your pet have a beautiful face like our friend here? Keep reading (and drop a photo in the comments)!

Deep wrinkles often trap moisture causing yeast to thrive. If left untreated, their skin can get inflamed and infected. This is called skin fold dermatitis.
Symptoms may include redness and inflammation, itching, odor, skin discoloration, and skin lesions.

Regularly cleaning and drying their folds with vet-approved cleanser can go a long way! Our team can discuss more options to help your squishy-faced friend remain looking and feeling beautiful! Give us a call.
