Today, we had the honor of meeting Pepe, the sweetest little 5-pound veteran’s emotional support chihuahua.
Unfortunately, Pepe broke three bones after a bad fall yesterday. His dad was devastated and very worried since Pepe was in such pain.

Already facing hard times and living in shelter, he didn’t know what to do for his best friend. 💔

This is where partnership comes in!

Our friends at reached out to to see if we could help.
I happened to be working at , where we got him in quickly!
He was examined and sedated for X rays, which unfortunately showed it was a pretty bad break. We are hoping for the best for Pepe, and that he won’t need surgery.🤞🏽 For now, he is resting comfortably with his dad who was the nicest to our staff and got him settled in a crate to rest.

We have a long road ahead of us facing additional vet appointments and bandage changes every 5 days until we know if surgery will be the next step.

The cost of his care has put a financial strain on our small volunteer-run organization. We don’t receive any type of funding. Our only hope is that our amazing community will come alongside of us to help Pepe with his recovery.

Today on National Non Profit Day, I wanna give a shout out to ❤️ I had a crazy idea for over a year - to go out and help people with their pets who were experiencing homeless. And so Street Paws Wellness was born.
CPIC was already providing food, collars, beds, litter, etc, at multiple locations multiple times per week.
So when we connected and I mentioned adding on veterinary care - vaccines, dewormers, eye/skin/ear treatments - they only had a yes for me😍 We are learning as we go; and we are going! We've met great pet owners, the cutest pets, and organizations who truly are putting in the work.
So today, as you scroll through social media, find at least one non-profit that is doing good work in an area you care about and help them! Donate/ volunteer if you can, follow them, share/comment on their posts. Every little thing helps us help others ❤️
Hoy en el Día Nacional de organizaciones sin fines de lucro quiero hablarte de . Yo llevaba más de un año con esta idea de tirarme a la calle y proveer servicios a personas sin hogar con mascotas. Y de eso Street Paws Wellness Program nació.
CPIC ya estaba en varios lugares todas las semanas llevando comida, collares, camas y otros suministros. Así que cuando conectamos y les mencioné añadir cuidado veterinario- vacunas, desparacitantes, tratamientos de ojos/orejas/piel me dieron una clase de SI!😍 Estamos aprendiendo mientras hacemos; y mira que estamos haciendo! Hemos conocido guardianes maravillosos, mascotas apretables y organizaciones que están metiendo mano.
Así que hoy, mientas andas en las redes, encuentra una organización sin fines de lucro en un área que te interese y ayúdalos! Dona/se voluntario si puedes, síguelos, comparte/comenta en sus publicaciones. Todo nos ayuda a ayudar a otros ❤️

Last Sunday, I had what was probably the best day of 2025 (if not more). I saw once more my FAVORITE boy band at .
They were the very first concert I went to back in the last millennium of the 1900s in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
I learned English listening to their songs while reading the lyrics.
To see them again as an adult was an experience I never knew I needed. 100000/10 would see them again 💙 And after seeing who I married and which BSB was my favorite ( ) it all makes sense now 😍
El domingo pasado tuve el mejor día de 2025 (si no de más tiempo). Vi una vez más mi banda FAVORITA los Backstreet Boys en el Sphere. Ellos fueron el primer concierto al que fui en el milenio pasado de los 1900s en Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Yo aprendí inglés cantando sus canciones mientras leía las líricas.
Verlos de nuevo como adulta fue la experiencia que no sabía que me hacía falta. 100000/10 los vería de nuevo💙
Y después de ver con quien me casé y cual era mi BSB favorito ( ) todo hace sentido ahora 😜

Today, with , we had our biggest event so far where over 40 pets and their families received care!
💉We provided vaccines (which they need in order to be allowed to stay in housing)
😷Spay/neuter vouchers
🍖Supplies like pet food, bowls, booties, collars, beds, treats etc.
🕷Flea/tick medications and even treated ear mites in a 😺 which we diagnosed right there. No more itchy ears for our friend 🙌🏾

We will be having an outreach event this coming Thursday. This is our biggest one yet.. we expect to serve over 20 pets and provide vet care, vaccines, food, and supplies. We will be visiting a new location to offer all this services for free. We would love to have some vet assistant/ techs come help out. We promise you'll meet some of the most grateful pet parents ever❤️

Despite best efforts, the 4th of July is #1 day in the year for pets to get lost. So, if you found a pet, here's exactly what to do to check them for a microchip. Hopefully, they are chipped and can be reunited with their family. This is also a PSA... 👏🏾get your own pets microchip 👏🏾
Did you know?

Dogs🐶
When found as strays, 52% of those Microchipped are returned to their owners. For all stray dogs, it's around 22%. 

Cats🐱
Microchipped cats are returned to their owners 38.5%. Cats without microchips are returned at only 1.8%. 😥

Registration Matters:
While microchipping is crucial, it's also vital that the microchip is registered with up-to-date owner information. Studies show that only about 6 in 10 microchips are actually registered.
