Today during one of our pet and vet resource clinic at CASS Senior shelter; we had the chance to have ABC 15 Az come out to check out what we do. We are extremely grateful for the visit❤️
And to our friend Rick, Bella's dad- THANK YOU for the amazing care you give her every day and for your kind words. There wasn't a dry eye in that room today🥹 We will do our best to continue to help as many pets and people and possible while wearing our halo😇

Donde sigo extrañando mi gente, mi Isla.

Where I had to learn to deal with a body that doesn't work like before.
Where I got to do things I always wanted, but that I had no idea if I could even do them.
Where I keep missing my people, my island.
But we're still here, giving it all.

🛏Get a comfy area ready so they can get away if needed- a room, crate etc
⚠️Careful with human food! It can cause vomiting and diarrhea!
❤️As always give them extra love and be patient- there's a lot of things happening and they look up to you to take care of them.
No one plans to have their pet get hurt or lost. Do this to ensure they are safe and share with other pet parents 🫶🏾 Did you get it done?!

"Christmas is most truly Christmas when we celebrate it by giving the light of love to those who need it most.”
And so we spent Christmas Eve with some cute pups and literal babies 🤣
We gave out pet food, clothes, stockings and vet care👉🏾 vaccines, ear treatments, deworming, flea/tick meds and exams all free of charge. ❤️
This (as per usual!) was a joint effort:
🤝We partnered with Cloud Covered Streets; they were there taking care of our patient's humans🫶🏾 providing showers, food, haircuts, supplies etc. They have a trailer that they set at different locations to do all that!
🛍We had supplies donated by Vet clinic as well as from some clinics in Phoenix.
And wonderful volunteers to make this happen👥️

¿Qué harías si no escucharas cuando te dijeron que no podías? Desde que decidí ser veterinaria hasta que por fin entré a escuela de Veterinaria me tardé casi 10 años. En ese tiempo escuché de todo-
Que con el inglés que sabía y mi acento no iba a entrar o a entender las clases.
Que si ya me rechazaron para que seguir intentando.
Que como me veo y con mi pelo no era un look profesional.
Y la que yo más me decía- que no me lo merecía.
Pero en algún momento decidí picharle al ruido... y me tiré. Y hoy con mi acento y con mis rizos uso mis "desventajas" para ayudar a mi comunidad y hasta para enseñar. Si se puede❤️ El ruido nunca se calla; está en ti si hacerle caso.
What would you do if you didn't listen when they said you couldn't do it? From the moment I decided to become a vet to getting into vet school it took me almost 10 years. During that time I heard it all-
With my English and accent I wasn't getting in or wasn't gonna understand the lectures.
That I've already been rejected why even try again.
That with how I look and my hair I didn't seem professional.
And the one I told myself the most- I didn't deserve it.
But somehow I decided to ignore the noise... and went for it. And today still with an accent and curly hair I use my "weaknesses" to help my community and even to teach. Si se puede❤️ the noise won't go away, is up to you if you decide to listen.

Yesterday I got to work with a new amazing group ➡️Nagi Foundation at a nearby Reservation. We provided vaccines and meds; did follow up exams, heartworm/tick fever tests, client education and everything else that was needed. There are barely any veterinary clinics in Reservations; and oftentimes the cost alone makes it very hard for many to be able to provide care for their pets. That's why these groups are SO important.
This was a last minute set up and we made it work💪🏽. Between their supplies and what I brought from what I've had donated by Arizona veterinary community we go it done (THANK YOU Az)
This was a collaborative effort. We connected thanks to . I had supplies from the donations I get. Volunteers from the community helped, organizers were vet techs, I was a vet tech 😬and we all helped each other. Let's do it again🙌🏾
Ayer tuve la oportunidad de colaborar con un grupo nuevo➡️ Nagi Foundation en una Reservación cercana. Proveímos vacunas y medicamentos, hicimos exámenes de seguimiento, pruebas de parásito del corazón/enfermedades que transmiten las garrapatas, educamos guardianes y lo que hiciera falta. No hay casi clínicas veterinarias en las Reservaciones; y muchas veces el costo hace que sea casi imposible para muchos proveer cuidado veterinario a sus mascotas. Es por esto que estás organizaciones son TAN importantes.
Esto fue algo planeado a última hora y se logró 💪🏽 Entre sus suministros y lo que llevé de las donaciones de la comunidad veterinaria de Arizona lo hicimos! (GRACIAS Az)

is a 100% volunteer run non profit that has been helping pets in the Valley for years now. 🐾They set up a different locations to provide pet supplies and resources to pets of unhoused individuals. They several events like this WEEKLY!

👩🏾‍⚕️I started partnering with them earlier this year to add on veterinary care as well.
