We hope everyone has a safe New Year's Eve and a great beginning to the New Year! As we celebrate the end of 2024 we would like to remind everyone that although Fireworks are beautiful for us to see, they are scary for our furry companions to experience. Let's keep them safe. 🥳

Last-Minute New Year's Eve Pet Safety Tips:
1. Secure Indoor Environment:
Create a Safe Space: Set up a quiet, comfortable area for your pet indoors where they can feel secure. Ideally, this space is away from doors and windows. Include their favorite toys, bedding, and calming items.

Close Windows and Doors: Ensure all windows and doors are securely closed to prevent escapes.

2. Identification:
Update ID Tags and Microchips: Make sure your pet’s ID tags and microchip information are current in case they get lost.

3. Mask Noises Indoors:
Play Background Noise: Use fans, calming music, white noise machines, or the TV to help drown out the sound of fireworks.

4. Avoid Fireworks Exposure:
Keep Away from Fireworks: Do not bring pets to fireworks displays or let them near fireworks at home.

5. Secure Outdoor Areas:
Check Fences and Gates: Ensure your yard is secure if your pet needs to go outside for a bathroom break. You may even want to bring them out on a leash versus letting them roam freely.

We know everyone has been waiting in anticipation to know who was the winner of our Pumpkin contest.
We actually had a tie!
The Margarita which was made by our technician Stacey and the Slinky Dog which was made by our practice leader Ariella ended up getting a whopping 51 votes!
Ariella, our practice leader was sweet and let Stacey be the first place winner.
We thank everyone for casting their votes! We will see what next years Halloween has in store. 😁

With monsoon season upon us, there is higher chance of your pets having some debris irritating their eyes. Here's a link with tips and tricks to maintain their eyes clean:

There are many easy ways to keep your pet’s eyes clean on a daily basis, or when healing from surgery. It is important to keep the area around the eyes clean so that normal discharge and commensal (‘normal’) bacteria do not build up and begin to contaminate an area in which they do not belong.
