☀️Hey Amigos! It's almost September, what better way to celebrate a new month than bringing home a new furry friend. Wilma, Beau and Cobweb are looking for a fur-ever home.

Wilma is a adorable 6-7 week old female kitten that was found on the street and brought into our clinic by Dr. Miller. She has been dewormed, but has not started vaccines yet. Wilma will have her vaccinations soon for her new home. She's the perfect pocket sized friend. 😻

Beau is a handsome orange 2 year old man. He loves to roam around the front lobby and have pets by our clients, but would love a home to play in. He is neutered and fully vaccinated, but does need to remain on his prescription urinary diet to stay in tip top shape.😼

Cobweb is a 10 month old fun loving boy. He is super cuddly and loves to lay in your lap to get hugs and love. Cobweb's wish for his birthday is to have cake in his new home. 🎂

🔥Lets talk about Heat Strokes! Do you know the signs and symptoms? If you answered no, that’s okay, We’re here to help!☀️

Both dogs and cats can experience the symptoms of a heat stroke. Some signs include:
Confusion / Disorientation
Diarrhea
Rapid or Irregular Heart Beat
Vomiting
Heavy or Excessive Panting

What should you do if your pet is experiencing these symptoms?
Move your pet into the shade or AC
Call and head to your nearest ER Vet
Cool your pet with tepid water - focus on the neck, chest, and abdomen
Point a fan at your pet
Offer small amount of cool water

The fourth of July is near and what better way to celebrate than with fireworks and sparklers. Although it may not be expected, dogs will chew on and eat fireworks and may become anxious due to the unexpected, loud sound. When ingested dogs can have GI upset, obstruction, and even damage to their red blood cells. It’s best to keep your furry friends inside while enjoying the pyrotechnics!
