Conures & Parrotlets

Two sun conures - DNA tests pending. Four pineapple green cheeks in both regular and dominate red, and one black capped conure. There are 8 micro-chickens aka Parrotlets. Stop by and see our beautiful babies today. The sun conures are available for deposits, but all of the others are available to go home right away.

The sun conure chicks and parakeet chicks are in the store today. They are available for deposits but won’t be ready to go home for a few more weeks. The caiques are still available. They are both boys and will be ready to go soon as well. We also have 9 male parrotlets. If you’re looking to set up some breeding pairs these will make you some beautiful babies when the time comes. Stop by and see us today and don’t forget we’re still running our end of year sales. Don’t miss out!

Tropic Zone will be closed tomorrow in observance of Christmas. The birds still need to be fed, and cages still need to be cleaned, so there will be some staff on hand for a few hours. If you need food in an emergency, please call the store during regular business hours and someone can let you in.

Curses! Foiled again! We tried to bust out of this joint and they caught us twice. That means someone needs to put a deposit on us and make plans to take us home before we escape on our own.

Old meets new.

A 4 month old blue & gold macaw was in for grooming and Sandy was curious so we introduced them. The old dragon was clearly not impressed.

There are a few grooming appointments open for this morning. Call the store as soon as we open if you want to grab one.

The hawks are hunting again so please keep your feathered babies secure as you enter and exit the store. They sometimes fly right by our windows and scare our birds, so please let the groomer know if your bird is fully flighted. A fully flighted bird that's been scared by a hawk could very easily injure itself if it panicked and got loose. Keep your babies safe.

Can you believe 2024 is almost over?

Today is Friday the 13th, but it's your lucky day! Our end of the year sales start today. From now until we close on December 31st, the following products are on sale.

All regular priced toys are 20% off. There won't be another toy order until January, so come wipe out our toy wall.

All cages are 15% off.

All 4 pound, or smaller, bags of prepackaged bird food is 15% off. This includes both seed and pellets.

Food Friday is still happening on the 13th, 20th, and the 27th. Buy 1 pound of any bulk food at $9.99 per pound or less and get 1 pound of equal or lesser value for free. Max 1 pound free and you must buy 1 pound to get 1 pound. This is a great deal because over 70 of our bulk food products fall within the $9.99 per pound or less price range.

All manzanita perches, trees, bird stands, and hanging trees are 15% off.

Time is running out to get your reservation for Christmas boarding. There are 4 regular sized macaw cages available between December 22nd and January 1st. These are for regular macaws and umbrella cockatoos. There is 1 XXL macaw cage open from the 24th to January 1st. This cage is reserved for hyacinths, moluccans, and black palms. There are plenty of medium sized cages available for African greys, and amazon sized parrots. For smaller birds such as conures and cockatiels, there is ONE cage left for the week of Christmas. If your bird stays in its own cage, we do have about 4 slots open for that. Don't wait - we expect to be full by Friday the 20th, if not before, and please make sure your vet checks are up to date.

Travel plans change and sometimes they are outside of your control, even more so during the holidays. If this happens, please give us a call so we can update your reservation. If you don't show up for drop off, we will move your reservation forward one day as a courtesy. If we don't hear from you on the second day, your reservation will be canceled. For picking up - if you can't make it on your scheduled pick up date, please call us. You can always leave a voicemail after business hours, or message us here on Facebook.
