Good afternoon Cruzaders… While we currently have a list of new intakes who will be joining us over the coming weeks, once they have arrived, we will be drastically limiting our intake for the next few months. Our next adoption event is 9/28 at Pinnacle Peak ACE Hardware & Paint. We will be attending Adoption in the Park 10/26 with Woofs, Wiggles, and Wags Rescue. We are working on another Puppy Yoga event for October. And 11/9 we will be at Freeway Chevrolet. Adoptions have picked up, but we are managing a larger than normal number of dogs. I am in the process of some major dental surgery that is requiring 1-2 visits a week right now. Most of our regular volunteers have kids in sports with summer being over. Donations have significantly dropped and our expenses have doubled. We are in the process of getting our 501c3, but we have to fix all the errors made by a company we hired to do the Arizona Corporate Commission paperwork first. We are also looking into new partnerships to extend our veterinary network. We are also going to be working with a high school photography class for pictures of our adoptable pups. We need fosters. We need donations. We also need volunteers.
I also would like to apologize for delays in scheduling meet and greets and getting out paperwork. We should be caught up this week. ♥️ Thank you for continuing to support us and for being a part of our village. We appreciate you!

Good evening Cruzaders! This boy needs us! He needs an amputation. He has an old injury and he can’t use his leg. We WILL help cute little Kyle, but we need to raise the money for his surgery. This is a front leg…. He will also need a foster. He is very friendly and dog friendly. I mean look at his face!! 🤷‍♀️ How can we not help him? We will need $1500 to start with by Wednesday…. Good morning Cruzaders! Little Links here and his brother have their vet check up tomorrow. Several of their rescue friends have appointments next week. We have 16 puppies due for vaccines next week. We have 6 spays scheduled and 5 more vet visits next week. We could really use some help with this. We will also need to restock our food. Any and all donations are helpful. Good evening Cruzaders! We are looking for a foster or foster to adopter for adorable little a Phinneus. He is neutered and is current on vaccines. We will complete his medical and then the adoption can be finalized. He is 3-4 months old and a German shepherd mix (?) This boy is sweet and will be an amazing addition to the family who picks him or chooses to be a stepping stone on his journey to forever. ♥️

Good evening Cruzaders! Phoenix pretended not to enjoy the event today. We all know he was enjoying hanging out. Phoenix is a 1.5 year old retriever mix. He is around 45 pounds. He is also a tripod. This boy is a lover. He truly adores his people and he loves other dogs. He is mostly crate trained and house trained. He is a shy guy and would love a quieter home with a canine companion to play with, hang out with, and cuddle with. He is great with dogs of all sizes. Phoenix is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and vetted. His adoption fee is $250. Please complete our adoption questionnaire and we will contact you to set up a meet and greet.

Good evening Cruzaders! This little pretzel nugget is Kay. She is a 4 month old spayed mixed breed. Likely a little terrier and some chihuahua and other stuff! She loves other dogs and people. She also loves her water bowl. ♥️ She is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and vet checked. Her adoption fee is $350. She most likely will be under 20 pounds full grown. Good afternoon Cruzaders! We had a great time hanging out at Light Lounge Scottsdale today! We are always open to doing events in new places. We will be headed back to Pinnacle Peak ACE Hardware & Paint 9/28. We will also be at Freeway Chevrolet 11/9. We have some other events in the works and lots of fun partnerships happening to help our animals find homes. We will be partnering with a high school photography class for fun pictures of our pups!

Good afternoon Cruzaders… please welcome Toast fka Ali to the rescue. Poor little Toast was attacked by a large dog and suffered a skull fracture and tbi. He arrived from our partners at Humane Society of Yuma today and will be seeing our vet Dr. John at 3 pm today. We will post an update later today. Good morning Cruzaders! Taking Pierce and Bingo on a meet and greet… no matter who is chosen, the family is winning. Great dogs. Both were at risk of euthanasia.. Bingo had a puppy cold and Pierce was too young to be in the shelter environment. Good dogs die by the thousands every day. It’s not their fault. Whichever dog isn’t chosen will still be looking for their family… Bingo entered rescue at 11 weeks and he is 18 months… Pierce joined us at 4 weeks and is now almost 5 months…. Both are good with dogs of all sizes and good with cats. Good luck boys. ♥️

We are reaching out for some help again… last week we had several vet visit… Savyor had his recheck and suture removal, we had a spay, a neuter, a puppy positive for tick fever who is in foster, we had vaccines and those will continue again this week… we had 3 adoptions and we brought in 5 new puppies 2 of whom still need puppy formula. Good afternoon Cruzaders! Our My Little Pony puppies are ready for their forever families! They are available through our foster to adopt program! We believe these girls are terrier pit mixes. (DNA test has been ordered.) The girls are 12 weeks old, 10-11 pounds, and super social. Twilight Sparkle (black), Pinky Pie (gray), and Apple Jack (brown) are sweet girls who will likely be medium sized full grown. Their adoption fee is $400 each.

Good evening… Cruzaders, meet Mr. Worldwide. This big boy is 4 months and 35-40 pounds. We will be sending off a dna test for him. He was at a kill shelter we partner with. We were going to take a few others, but decided on him instead to open a kennel. That means we saved him and created an opening for another stray. Why did we change our mind? Pay attention to the video especially if you listen. All the chaos and he is just playing with his toy. He doesn’t jump on the kennel when Amy is talking to him filming him. He’s just a big friendly boy…. He is dog friendly and loves everyone. Stay tuned for this big guy to be available for adoption!

This sweet 6 month old pit mix puppy has found herself at risk of being euthanized. You see, she survived distemper and was adopted… not sure what happened next, but she recently was brought back to the shelter by animal control for not being cared for properly. We will pull this girl if we can find her a foster home. She is special needs. She is wobbly and walks like she has hiccups. We will provide everything she needs. Good afternoon Cruzaders…. We have 3 puppies who are available through our foster to adopt program. Their adoption fees are $400. Half would be due when the puppy goes home with you and the other half would be due the day of their spay or neuter. While in foster to adopt, they will be finishing their medical (vaccines, etc) awaiting their spay and neuters. Murphy is the chocolate lab mix, Maggie is the black lab mix, and Ralph (or my little Ralphie ❤️) is the boxer mix. Maggie and Murphy are related. All 3 are currently around 10 weeks and have had 2 sets of distemper parvo vaccines and their bordatella. We are actually searching for short term commitments that have an end date. March 11. We will supply you with everything you need. You would just need to bring your foster(s) to our event in central Phoenix on March 11 or let us know so we can make arrangements to pick up that morning! We have a handful of pups all ready to go and if you choose your fosters from that group, it could be even an even shorter commitment.
