Kitten season is in full swing! So we wanted to remind everyone of a few things…
1. We DO NOT take in kittens or moms and kittens.
2. Kittens have the best chance of survival with mom so if you aren’t 100% sure she has abandoned them then please leave them for her. Moms will leave for several hours at a time so don’t freak out if you don’t see her there- most of the time if they are plump, warm, and clean mom has been taking care of them.
3. Every organization is overwhelmed this time of year so fostering will be helpful in getting assistance from an organization that does intake kittens. If you are able to get mom and foster the whole family that is the ideal situation.
4. Please spay and neuter your pets!!
5. Help with TNR efforts in your neighborhood to prevent a big kitten season year after year if you are able to

Enjoy your Easter but remember lilies are extremely toxic for cats! 💐🚫😿

The entire lily plant is toxic: the stem, leaves, flowers, pollen, and even the water in a vase. Eating just a small amount of a leaf or flower petal, licking a few pollen grains off its fur while grooming, or drinking the water from the vase can cause your cat to develop fatal kidney failure in less than 3 days.

Chip and Theo were murdered last week (shot 6 times) while playing at a neighborhood park in North Scottsdale - it’s not a dog park, and dogs were off leash, but the outcome was not warranted. The community is looking to have a petition signed to have the case re-opened. If you feel inclined, you can read the story through the below link and sign the petition if you support the cause. PLEASE STOP USING GLUE TRAPS. I’ve seen continuous heartbreaking posts of all the suffering innocent creatures, friendly snakes, and now a kitten. These traps are inhumane, cruel, and dangerous. Just stop already!

The majority of animals caught in glue traps die in agony while trying to free themselves from the adhesive. Animals break their own bones and tear off their own limbs and skin trying to escape, and those that cannot escape die from starvation or dehydration. Their mouths and nose get stuck in the glue and they suffocate to death.

Dozens of retailers—including CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, and many others—have banned the sale of glue traps. Stop supporting those that do. Manufacturers do not claim that glue traps provide a quick death. In fact, they generally suggest that traps be thrown in the trash with live animals still stuck to the surface. As a result, animals continue to suffer, starved and exhausted for up to five days.

URGENT! Can anyone please pull this sweet boy from county? Or can anyone possibly foster? Humane Society can take in August, if need be. He’s such a great amazing dog but not doing well at county. 😭 His story is heartbreaking. He was found along with his brother in North Phoenix a few weeks ago. They are inseparable. But his brother got adopted out and now he’s at county with a death sentence. Heartbreaking.😭💔💔

We did not go off shelter grounds as the temperature was getting too hot for walking. Dog was an easy return to kennel.

He relaxed at handlers feet until handler stood to return to his kennel. He walked with a moderate back to his kennel. He entered his kennel without issue and allowed handler to easily remove leash by hand.

My friends sister passed away last month and left behind her 8 year old 75lb neutered German Shepherd. They want to put him in a shelter. Trying to find alternatives. 💔

He lived with another dog and two cats. And seems to get along with even other outside dogs just fine. Truman is a big, friendly, old man with a great heart. He is a good guard dog as he was her sentry on her 10acre ranch. But he is truly a house dog. Truman is a great great dog, but is slow going and does have some hip pain, which is common in big older dogs.

PSA: every spring, rescues are inundated with people with good intentions, bringing in litters of found kittens. This is one of the worst things humans could do to help. Make sure they are safe, but please leave these innocent creatures alone. The mothers do not want their kittens stolen. 💔 If you would truly like to help, volunteer your time with a local TNR organization. 😻

At this moment, Rodney Habib and I are at Bobi’s 31st birthday party, the oldest dog in recorded history 🐾🥳. Previous verified record holders were three 27 year old dogs and one 29 year old dog, but Bobi has broken the world record 🙌🏼❣️
When we asked Leonel why he thinks Bobi has had an exceptionally long life, his response was swift: homemade fresh food (never ultra-processed “dog food”), daily walks in nature, and lots of love: The Forever Dog recipe for success. Bobi, here’s to making history ❤️

Does anyone have it in their heart to take in two senior kitties? This is an old client of ours that has been keeping them in a barn stall for the last 2 years, due to her new husbands allergies. I’m so heart broken that they have not had a comfy home all this time. 💔😿😿

Helping a client to rehome this sweet girl. ❤️❤️Do you have a pup who would love a friend??

This is Rosie! Technically a bernadoodle but a petite girl, only 27lbs. Spayed, up to date on vaccines. Birthdate is 3/16/2020.

Housetrained, no chewing or destruction. No barking or jumping. Very calm and well behaved. She just wants to be close to you! Does well 4-5 hours alone no crate needed, but she is crate trained. Loves exercise, walks 30-60 mins and dog park or somewhere to run around 1-2 times a week. She is a bit anxious in new places or surroundings…but does love going places, with some reassurance to build her confidence! Very treat motivated and smart. She would love some doggie friends! The family boarded her at a friends home with other dogs over spring break and she thrived there! Adopter would ideally be someone who is retired or works from home and has another dog(s).

I’ve spent time with Rosie a few times a week over the past several months. She really is the sweetest, very submissive girl. Always just sleeping when I arrive, happy to see me! She just wants attention and to be loved. She’s a snuggle bug! The family has really tried everything to make her happy but ultimately it seems it’s just not the right environment for her. They are gone alot and Rosie is sad and depressed alone. Their young children are loud and busy, and Rosie loves calm and quiet. She will cower and hide with loud noises. She absolutely would thrive in a home with no young kids and another dog companion!

She was found in Desert Ridge. One of the neighbors was going to keep her, but adoption has since fell through. She is currently at county. ☹️ She was great with her friends toddler, didn't have any accidents, didn't bark, and had a normal diet. Posting for a client that found her.
