Finnick found his forever home yesterday, but he let us try the viral ghost photoshoot trend before he left. How did he do? #MaricopaPets
Follow Ned and Teresa as they trick-or-treat their way through different departments in Maricopa County! Did they figure out what Maricopa Air or what the Flood Control District of Maricopa County does? No. Were they showered in attention all day long? Yes.
Thanks to Maricopa County Office of the Public Defender, Maricopa County Emergency Management and Maricopa County Assessor's Office for handing over those treats!

Little Miss Dolly is 8 years old, has cherry eye, and suffers from a slight case of stinky breath. She is one of the most beautiful creatures we've ever met!

Meet Gandalf. This grown little wizard came in as a stray with a lot of matted fur and dreadlocks, and with PetSmart's help, we summoned some assistance for a groom.
If you'd like to adopt this handsome guy, we plan to bring him to our adoption event at PetSmart in Mesa (1733 S Stapley Dr) this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Gandalf was one of 25 dogs who were pampered with a groom this week. Thanks again to PetSmart for making this happen! #A5085359
In honor of PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week, PetSmart came to MCACC to generously give some dogs a much-needed groom ahead of our adoption events in Mesa this weekend! We are so thankful!

This is Sophie. She is 8 years old and she is sick and tired of the shelter humans' costumed shenanigans. Please, do not let her wear this embarrassment of a wig any longer. Come adopt this dignified lady at the West shelter, and please bring a string of pearls for her.

Happy homecoming, Sissy. π When this 11-year-old pup ran away from home over a week ago, her family spent days looking for her. With her senior age and the Phoenix heat, they almost lost hope. But Sissy's photo showed up online, and they headed straight to the shelter to bring her back.
Sissy received a microchip sponsored by Two Pups Wellness Fund to ensure that the family's contact information will always be connected to her. Two Pups sponsors microchips for dogs returned to their owners. We are so thankful for our partnership! #MaricopaPets
"Birdie is leaving the building!" Once we heard that over the walkie-talkies, staff members at West started rushing to the lobby to say goodbye.
Birdie's adoption fees were waived thanks to the BISSELL Pet Foundation, and the adopters even went home with a free bag of goodies! Have a happy life filled with adventures, sweet pup! π #MaricopaPets
FREE GOODIE BAGS! π If you adopt a dog that has been at the shelter for 30 days or more, we're giving you a KONG bag filled with treats and toys to help your new dog transition into their new home. Learn more about adopting at Maricopa.gov/Pets.

We've always known Mama Mia as a happy-go-lucky, fun-loving dog who loves her humans above everything else. But after spending more than 5 months in the shelter, it's clear that she is not happy here. Even with walks, enrichment, and quality time with volunteers, she's getting frustrated with kennel life.
Mama Mia needs a home that can get the zoomies out and show her all the love she deserves. She seems interested in other dogs and could potentially get along with another pup with lengthy decompression time and a slow introduction.
She is eligible for fostering and adoption at the East shelter. #A4966955
