Meet Roberta, a 7-year-old English Setter rescued from Greece. Years of running free left her teeth with wear and tear, and a lot of tartar. She never had a dental exam or cleaning, so we knew it was time to give her the care she needed.

Dental pain in pets can be hard to spot, but if your pet is showing any of these signs, they may need a dental exam:

🤤 Excessive drooling
✋ Pawing at their mouth
🐾 Change in chewing behavior
🍖 Dropping food while chewing
😖 Avoiding having their face or mouth touched
🍽️ Not interested in dry food or hard treats

Meet Isis, a 14-15 year old pit bull mix. Once lively and athletic, she had slowed down significantly over the past few years, struggling with mobility and spending most of her time sleeping. Getting up onto the couch or into the truck became a challenge, and she often needed help or multiple attempts to jump.

After just one month on Librela, the change has been remarkable. Isis is now jumping onto the couch and bed with ease, no longer needing help into the truck. While she still sleeps more than when she was younger, she’s more active, playing with the younger dogs and jumping around with them. She’s eating all her meals consistently, something she struggled with before.

The American heartworm Society releases information on cases every 3 years next year new data will be released unfortunately we are seeing more heartworm cases. It's important to have your fur babies tested annually for heartworm disease and start on prevention. It only takes one mosquito to infect your fur baby. There are different types of prevention please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment for heartworm testing. If heartworm disease is left untreated it can be fatal.
