Good evening! We received a request to take in 4- 6 week old puppies. The following below is the text, one of our directors received. Can anyone take in these kids?

Any way u can take four small dogs about six week old puppies. A nurse friend of mine went to do a home check n the dogs r in filth and the house has holes in the floor n falling apart. One puppy was killed by “accident “ she said her daughter stepped on it n just left it dead next to the other puppies. I use to volunteer with AFP but they became drama and I left rescue. One of my contacts gave me ur number and said u might be able to help.

Aeva needs a new home!

She is 8 years old full yellow lab. She is great with kids and other dogs. She would do a lot better with a big yard and probably a family with kids. No health concerns. She is an extremely sweet girl who is looking for her forever home.

We finally got this little family after a long week of back and forth. The mom is not in the best shape and dad is worse.

FOSTERS NEEDED

we were contacted last night about a family needing to be rehomed because they are stuck outside all day.

Mother and father are a year old. Babies are 2 months old and they're 6 of them! We will provide all items to care for them! They don't need to stay together.

We are a week late but it has been a year that one of the worse case of animal abuse/neglect in a 10 week old puppy came into our rescue. It’s been a year and Milo is thriving and living his best life along side his siblings. He is such sweet gentle giant. ❤️💕❤️

This is Salem, this poor girl needs a home ASAP. She has been rehomed too many times already. This time she needs to be rehomed due to the baby being very allergic. The following information below is from her current owners.

We took Salem 2 years ago from an acquaintance that did not want her anymore. We were told she was 2 years old at the time and we were her 3rd home. Our vet believes she was closer to 4, it’s safe to assume she’s close to 6 now. She does require daily eye drops which I will provide and does steal food off the counter.
She is a wonderful dog, very sweet with our children, good on a leash, extremely loving and the right amount of protective, she was also very sweet with our elderly shih-tzu while he was alive. I do not know how she is with outside dogs. She is too big for the dog park, I never took the chance

Daisy is still looking for her forever home. She does well with other dogs with slow introductions. She is kennel trained and house broken. She is also amazing at keeping kids motivated with doing their homework.

They are kennel and leash trained. Both know how to sit.
Daisy the bigger of the two loves water and pools. She looks like a dingo. She’s obsessed with squeaky toys. She will probably be 30 lbs full grown

Delilah loves being held like a baby and tummy rubs. She’s calmer than Daisy.

Dolly Update: Dolly has been diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Which is the best case scenario.

Even better news Dolly found her new forever home with our vet Dra. Karla. Dra. Karla saved Milo and his leg, and finally gave Dolly a diagnosis.

Dolly couldn’t not have found a better home! All of the vets were so excited for Dra. Karla and Dolly. Some of them already bought her some dresses.

Good afternoon everyone! First and foremost we want to thank each and everyone of you who donated towards Dolly‘s surgery. 🐶

We met the goal thanks to all of you! 💪🏼

Dolly went into surgery late afternoon yesterday. Everything went as well as expected. She was discharged from the hospital a few minutes ago.

Dolly is on her way home 🏠 Hopefully in a few weeks we will know why this is happening to her and get her on the right treatment.

We need the help of our village again!! This is sweet 3 yo Dolly. She was born into the rescue and adopted out. After several tests and thousands of dollars, her adopters made the decision to return her. We have attempted to find out what was wrong with her since all of the tests came back normal. The last vet we took her to here in Arizona, said they didn’t know what else to test for. The previous vets tested for everything. So we decided to take her to our amazing vet in Mexico, who saved our beloved Milo. There they did an ultrasound and different blood tests. They discovered that Dolly’s entire digestion system was swollen and preventing her to intake important nutrients. 

She needs emergency surgery! She will be going back to Mexico tomorrow for surgery. The total cost of surgery and medication will be about $600!!

Meet Riot! He's a 10 month old believed to be shepherd mix who needs an immediate foster or new home. Riot needs an outlet for his puppy energy and someone who can train or tolerate the puppy chewing phase with a positive system. 🐶🐶🐶 MILO UPDATE 🐶🐶🐶

Milo is 4.5 months and thriving!! He weighs 35lbs and has been discharged by the vet! Now he needs to be seen by an orthopedic vet and start some serious physical therapy. His back leg is definitely not a normal leg, he gets tired faster then other puppies his age, it buckles and he may require surgery in future to correct that paw but he’s too young at this moment. He wears a brace to help in the meantime and got upgraded a much bigger stroller to help him get around!

We are so saddened by this terrible news. We worked with Barb, we either donated food or took in some dogs. Barb, you will be missed.

Our founder, Barbara Mumaugh, passed away last night after a complicated illness. She was surrounded by family and friends who loved her.

Barb leaves a remarkable legacy. She started our shelter with nothing. For years, she gave everything she had to the dogs she rescued. They became her purpose, her passion, her life. She built Barb’s Dog Rescue into a flourishing shelter that is refuge to over 400 dogs at times. From the humblest beginnings, the rescue she started now places over 2,400 dogs in new homes each year.

Barb never rested. She worked seventeen-hour days in the desert sun at a relentless pace. There were no easy days, and no days off. As the shelter grew, her pace increased. More and more dogs needed her.

Thousands of dogs saved, millions of unwanted litters prevented. And her legacy will live on.

A team of skilled staff, hand-picked by Barb, have been preparing for this day. Supported by our Board of Directors, they are ready to lead. The greatest way we can honor Barb is to continue her legacy, and with the heaviest of hearts but determined spirits, we will carry on.

We ask you to join us, and the thousands of dogs Barb saved, in remembering the incredible impact she had.

Lucy is a cuddle bug and a zoomer, enjoys daily walks and pool time! She's totally a water dog and it's adorable. She does like to chew and tear things as she is a puppy so supervision is important. She knows how to use a doggy door and see herself out for potty time! Lucy is a 5 month old possible Basenji mix!
