2024 comes to an end and we can’t believe how many adored pets came through our doors and found their forever homes. It takes a village and we couldn’t do what we do without our amazing team members, volunteers, fosters, rescue partners, community, and more. Here’s to another year of saving lives and keeping families together!
The date is December 20, 2022 when a frightened, shy, and nervous dog arrived at AAWL… that would be Syrup! You’ve probably heard of him, he’s our longest resident at the shelter with 731 days and counting under his belt. He hopes and dreams of finally having a home to call his own, it might just be his very first one.Join us as we embark on a week all about Syrup, leading up to his 2-year anniversary date Friday, December 20, 2024. Help us spread the word about this wonderful 3-year-old boy who has been waiting patiently for his people to find him. He’d prefer to have you all to himself and be your only pet in a respectful home that understands he needs time to come out of his shell. He’s currently in a foster home so if you’re interested in meeting Syrup, please email [email protected] to schedule a meet and greet! Plus, thanks to the McS Foundation his adoption fee has been waived, which means you can take him home for FREE!
Give the gift of love by fostering one of our adult dogs for the holiday season and provide them a much needed break from shelter life. They don’t need a lot to be happy, just you and a warm, cozy bed to temporarily call their own. If you’re able, please consider fostering one of our adoptable pups for a short 2-week term while they wait for their forever family to find them. Some of our furry residents may have never experienced a home during the holidays and this would be their first time ringing in the new year surrounded by love. And the ones who have, know what they’re missing out on during this time. They’d much rather help unwrap gifts and make their new year wishes at home with you. If you’re interested in helping our dogs receive a MUCH-NEEDED staycation this holiday season, sign up here https://aawl.org/foster. Help us give our furry residents a chance to start the new year on the right paw ❤️
