The search for Francine continues after initial signs of hope. As of last night, there has been a confirmed sighting of Francine, the beloved Broad Street Lowe’s cat who has been missing since late September. A volunteer team from Richmond has traveled to North Carolina to assist in locating and safely returning her home.

Following an outpouring of community support, Lowe’s has been working with organizations including , , and to aid in the search. According to updates shared by , live traps equipped with cameras, drones, and thermal devices are being used around the Lowe’s Distribution Center in Garysburg, NC. Staff at the facility are receiving regular briefings as search efforts continue.

Community members are encouraged to follow for verified updates and information on how to support the search. Every hour brings new hope that Francine will soon be home. ❤️

We've gotten news that has us feeling the most optimistic we've been since we first learned Francine is missing. Lowe's says there has been a sighting at their Garysburg, NC distribution center on October 4, and they have confirmed it is Francine! A small team from the Broad Street Lowe's in Richmond, including the store manager, headed to the NC distribution center this morning. These are folks whose voices are familiar to RVA's beloved calico, and they'll be calling for her and shaking her food dish to entice her out of hiding.

A crew of volunteers are on the hunt for a well-known local cat who’s now missing. Francine the cat lives at the Lowe’s 1640 West Broad Street in Richmond. She's called the store home for eight years, accepting pets and treats from shoppers.

More than 4,000 people have already signed a petition to bring Richmond’s favorite calico cat home.

Francine, the beloved cat who has been part of the Broad Street Lowe’s since 2017, may have boarded a truck headed to Lowe’s Distribution Center #1420 in Garysburg, North Carolina. Despite search efforts, questions remain about transparency and cooperation in bringing her home.

The petition asks Lowe’s corporate to take urgent action, including providing daily updates, allowing volunteer trappers on site, and using tools like scent-tracking dogs, thermal drones, and motion cameras. A $2,000 reward has also been offered for information that leads to Francine’s safe return.
