Look at our Luke all groomed and ready for Easter! Luke came into rescue last August with a spinal cord injury. He was in pain and couldn’t put any pressure on his back end. We have had Luke in therapy 1-3 times per week since August . He was just finally cleared by the rehab place that he is no longer in pain and can now stand on all fours at times on his own. He will however never regain the use of those back legs to walk. Luke could care less and doesn’t feel that he is limited in any activities. He has a set of wheels that allows him to go faster than any of the other dogs or if his wheels are off, he pulls himself around by his front legs. Now that we know Luke is all healed and can enjoy a great long life, this 2 year old is looking for his forever home! Luke is a big teddy bear and loves to snuggle and play and chase the ball either in his wheels or on 2 legs. Luke can hold his bladder if on a schedule and taken outside or he can wear a male wrap if left for extended hours. Luke deserves the best life and cannot wait to find a family to call his own and love forever!

Look at Lukey Go! Luke has been getting PT, Acupuncture and Laser twice a week and he is improving! He speeds around in his wheels also, but we like to give him the chance to work on his walking whenever we can!

Luke the paralyzed cocker spaniel made it to Oklahoma on Friday after a drive from Phoenix to Durango and then a private plane from Durango to Tulsa. Luke will see a specialist in Oklahoma tomorrow to hopefully get fitted for wheels and get some acupuncture. Then Luke will have a drive to Nebraska where he will go live with Nicole. Thanks to everyone involved in saving Luke and the team that is in place to provide him with care the rest of his long life! Luke has a lot of life left in him. He is going to need the support of a village for the rest of his life since he is only two years old. We are currently finding out his needs and will be setting up an Amazon Shop if you can donate.

Luke is a very healthy and loving 2 year old baby boy!! He has so much life in front of him and is so happy all of the time. Luke does not have the use of his back legs, but he is not in pain and scoots around like nothing is wrong(video in comments). We are looking for a foster or adopter for Luke. Luke is able to be in a normal home and loves other dogs. He doesn’t need his wheels if he is in a small home, but does have wheels if you have a large yard or home. If you can open your home to this baby boy, please message us! Luke is in the greater Phoenix area!

Update: Luke unfortunately will never regain the use of his back legs, but he scoots around just fine and even has wheels for going on a big walk or going to the park. He’s a happy cuddly boy and he is very healthy otherwise and has a long life ahead of him. We are going to get him neutered so that he isn’t dragging his balls around and we’ve also ordered mail wrap diapers so that leaky urine won’t be an issue. Once neutered, Luke will go up for adoption.

Robin got Luke to Arizona and is walking into his appointment at Vet Nuero right now! Praying the doctors can work miracles and get this boys back legs working, but reality is that he has already had one surgery so the probability is low. He is just the sweetest cutest 2 year old boy and deserves a full life!

Ok village! We are needing a foster in the Phoenix area for this sweet baby. Owner relinquished because he has lost the use of his back legs, but is only 3 years old. We have the best doctors in Phoenix and hoping they can fix him! It’s a $10,000 surgery so owners couldn’t did it. We need someone to foster him and our rescue will pay for the surgery! Needing a foster from August 7-28.

Welcome Toby to rescue! He is an owner surrender out of Stillwater, OK. Toby is 2 years old and will be getting his shots tomorrow and seeing the vet and then scheduled for neuter on Monday. Once he is healed he will be up for adoption! Before heading back to Tulsa we stopped and Eskimo Joe’s for a rescue tshirt!

We had to say, “See you Later” to a special boy yesterday. Winston came into our rescue over a decade ago and we had no idea how important he would be to so many dogs and humans. A special person, Karen, answered his adopt a pet and setup a meet. Those who know Karen, know how important she has been to our rescue. After adopting Winston, Karen has helped and fostered over 100 dogs. She takes the bite dogs that would have no other chance and rehabilitates them and keeps the ones that cannot be fostered out. Karen has been an integral part of what our team has been able to do over the last decade. Even when she was exhausted and didn’t have the resources to carry on, she always found a way! Winston was always by her side, welcoming every dog and letting them know they hit the jackpot and their life was only going to only get better! Run free sweet boy and know that we all love you and will miss you and we’ll see you again one day! Let all the babies on that side know we still think about them and cannot wait to see you all at The Rainbow Bridge!

ADOPTED!Charlie is ready for Adoption and looking for a foster!

21 lb sweet boy who is affectionate, neutered, 2 year old boy, gets along very well with other dogs. Knows "sit", has learned the doggy door, and He likes to bring toys out to chase lizards, butterflies, and birds in the backyard with his foster siblings. His foster is guessing not very good with cats, but he is very smart, so training might help with that. His Foster Mom took him camping and said he slept most of the car ride, did well at camp, and was an excellent snuggle bug at night.

Road trip time! Jill has adrenal gland tumors and we were referred to Colorado State Veterinary Hospital for possible surgery. So we packed up and drove up here and now waiting to be seen. Please send prayers, poor girls hasn’t been herself in a few months!

Meet Kirby. He is a sweet, little energetic ball of fur. He's well-behaved. He mostly gets along with the other dogs now once they've all kind of settled into their space. He does likely need to be fed separately because he does eat quickly and doesn't take cues when it comes to food. He's good on walks. He pulls a little bit but nothing that anybody couldn't handle. He does have his flying leap, then going on where he will jump over like the arm of chairs or just jump right up into your arms when you're sitting down. Such a love!
