As many as 50 million US pets don’t receive necessary veterinary care. Difficulties in obtaining care for our pets can range from financial hardship to transportation/location difficulties, so our goal is to help outfit our partners with grants that can help them take care of the pets in their community. When disaster strikes, families and their pets often face unimaginable challenges. During the 2023 Spokane County wildfires, American Red Cross Northwest Region volunteer Paige McKee stepped in as a pet liaison to help pets and their families find safety and comfort. 💙

Working with SpokAnimal C.A.R.E. and other local agencies, Paige coordinated food, supplies, and safe spaces for displaced pets, making an incredible difference in the lives of families who had lost so much. From walking dogs to delivering pet toys, Paige brought hope and stability to families in need.

We’re proud to work alongside organizations like the American Red Cross to support pets and their people during emergencies. 🐾

From Florida to a loving home, Snoop’s adoption story is a heartwarming reminder of what love and care can do. 💙

After being brought to Brandywine Valley SPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Florida in February 2022, Snoop spent over two years waiting for his match. He spent time at multiple campuses and in foster care, where he learned to trust and relax with other animals. Then, in April 2024, Snoop’s family found him and gave him a new home! 🏡

We partner with organizations like Brandywine SPCA nationwide through our Everyday Adoption Centers at PetSmart stores. Through our in-store adoption programs, we can connect more pets with loving families and create more happy stories like Snoop’s. 💙

Amidst the California wildfires, we are working with organizations near and far, including the American Red Cross, to deliver vital aid to the pets and people affected.

Our partners at Community Animal Medicine Project (CAMP) are one of many amazing groups we’ve been able to support through grant funds. Grant support made it possible for their team to mobilize quickly and host a community clinic to assist pets with the care they need.

We’ve already approved $170,000 in grant funding for local animal welfare groups such as LA Animal Services and CAMP in their efforts to care for rescued and displaced pets, while also supporting displaced families by replacing essential pet supplies. 🐾❤️

We met Lawrence and his dog, Princess, at our second annual Pet Hunger Awareness Day. Princess became part of Lawrence’s family five years ago after his neighbor abandoned her. But after losing his wife and living on a fixed income, Lawrence needed extra support to care for Princess.

Thanks to our partnership with Feeding America, food banks like St. Mary's Food Bank can receive pet food donated by PetSmart Charities, helping families like Lawrence’s. Lawrence was able to pick up food for himself and Princess, ensuring they get the nutrition they need!

When Dixie, a 7-year-old dog, was adopted by her family, they brought her to a C.A.R.E.4Paws wellness event to make sure she was healthy. 🩺

That’s when they discovered the mass on her belly wasn’t benign—it was a mammary carcinoma, an aggressive form of cancer. Thanks to the incredible care from the C.A.R.E.4Paws mobile clinic team, Dixie had her tumor removed and is now on her journey to recovery.

We’re proud to work with partners like C.A.R.E.4Paws to provide pets with the low-cost, accessible care they need to stay healthy and remain with their loving families. Together, we’re making a lasting impact for pets like Dixie. 💙

When Morning Glory and Aster were found as tiny, abandoned orphans, Angel of Hope Animal Rescue stepped in to provide the care they desperately needed.
