🐾 Access to Care
As many as 50 million US pets don’t receive necessary veterinary care. Difficulties in obtaining care for our pets can range from financial hardship to transportation/location difficulties, so our goal is to help outfit our partners with grants that can help them take care of the pets in their community. In February, Meter Maid gave birth to 11 adorable puppies while under the care of our adoption partner, Austin Pets Alive!. While eleven of her pups have found loving families, but Meter Maid is still waiting for a family to call their own.

Our hearts go out to those impacted by Hurricane Milton. We’re closely working with our partners in Florida to assess the damage and its effect on pets and their families, and we stand ready to provide support where it’s needed most. 💙

As Hurricane Milton approaches, we expect disaster response needs will grow in the coming weeks, and we need your help more than ever.

Disaster response fundraising is now active in U.S. PetSmart stores through Sunday, October 13, 2024. You can help by making a donation to PetSmart Charities at your local PetSmart store. Simply ask a store associate about donating to our disaster relief fund at checkout and your donations will go directly to assist those in the impacted areas.

We have granted over $300,000 for Hurricane Helene recovery, including over $125,000 in truckloads of pet food to Feeding Tampa Bay and Western North Carolina.

We’re closely monitoring Hurricane Milton and continue to work with national and local partners, including the National Animal Rescues and Sheltering Coalition and the American Red Cross, to provide support where it’s needed most.
