What a successful year we have had at the Chippewa County Fair! Congratulations to Brant Koben on your Overall Reserve Champion Market Lamb! 💜🏆

We also would like to congratulate Audrey Laitinen for also making it to the final drive with her reserve middle weight lamb. And of course congratulations to all of the other market lamb exhibitors who all made it into the top 5 of their market classes and their placements in showmanship!

As the show year has drawn to a close, we would like to thank all of our families that bought and shown market lambs this year. Please feel free to share any photos from your fairs on this post of your projects this year!

Just a few things, if you haven’t sheared your lambs you need to think about it soon, if your hot so are they. Also if you haven’t wormed them again I would also do that as well. If you have access to a scale I would try to weigh them and see where you are and hopefully they are all walking on a halter at this point. There is a show June 24 at the Cheboygan fairgrounds (Tip of the Mitt) and it would be a great learning tool and experience if it’s something you are interested in. We will be there as well with lambs and can help out if anyone plans to attend. Let us know if you have any questions or need any help!

Here are a few pictures of this years lambs, there are several lambs in the barn but here are a few that have caught our eye. Lambs will be ready to go the weekend of April 21-23. If you have reached out to us regarding purchasing lambs please message us to set up a time for pick out and pick up of lambs.

Pearl, she held them in as long as she could but finally she had them and we are done lambing for 2023. They maybe later lambs but we had one born the same time last year and did just fine at the fair.
