This note is to all of my clients for the last 51 years:

Would like to thank all of my clients for the past fifty one years;both large and small that I have had the pleasure of seeing over my career. In reading journal articles, I can say I have been extremely lucky with the people that I have been fortunate to deal with.
I got into vet.med to be of service to rural America. Originally, to help save small farms. It soon became more than just farms;it was the people of the area that were important and me trying to help them with their animals.
Sorry I bailed out of the clinic 6 weeks before it changed hands.
Looks like I am in need of medical help myself. Having Dr. Taylor, Jen, and Casey to step in sure made not being at work a lot less painful.
I want to say how much confidence I have in Dr. Taylor’s ability to continue on with the local legacy started by Dr. William Barber in 1958. There should be no break in the kind of service you are use to.
I may be back at some point on
??? Basis; remains to be seen.

The Pickford Veterinary Hospital is changing ownership. Many of you have already met Dr. Taylor whose full name is Taylor Miller from Pickford. She has come home after completing all of her schooling to serve the community for many years to come. We are proud to be turning the practice over to her, her mother Jill at the front desk. Don’t worry Jen and Casey will still be around to help serve your pets. There will be a name change to Pickford Veterinary Services. Yes, Dr. Groover will be in and out some to help Dr. Taylor if needed and his health allows. Thank you so much for your many years as friends and clients . We will miss you but after practicing for 51 years it is time. Best to you and your furry friends Doc and Barb

It is with much sorry that we let you know that Dr. Bob Robinson died on July 24th. He died as he lived, very peaceful sitting in his favorite chair with his beloved dog by his feet. Many of you came to know him over the past two years as he helped us here at the clinic whenever he could manage while working full time as State Veterinarian for Northern Michigan And the UP. No kinder veterinarian or person have we ever known. We were honored to work with him Pickford Vsterinary Staff

We have changed our hours to Monday,Tuesday,Thursday, and Friday by appointment to see Dr. Groover . Hours are 8 am to 4 pm if you need to pick something up. We know these hours will be inconvenient for some of you. With Dr. Groover and Barb’s age and the growing families of our workers we feel this provides the best quality work situation which will enable us to serve your pets better when we are open. There are some pretty great veterinarians in the area that have been kind in picking up for us. Thank you for your support

After 47 years of Saturday office hours we are going to stop and smell the roses. We know this is a hardship for some of our clients but in order to work a few more years we feel we need to cut back some. Thanks for your understanding
