Hello everyone, I hope you're having a wonderful week. My name is Genaro Moreno, and as the creator of this page, I want to thank you for being part of this community. In addition to my work as a full-time police officer, I am a passionate advocate for dogs, cats, and all animals here in Pico Rivera.

This year, I’m running for City Council, with public safety as my top priority. But I also have a deep commitment to our pets and animals. Our community deserves more resources for them, and I have a vision to make Pico Rivera truly pet-friendly. From creating a long-awaited dog park to ensuring better care and services for our pets, I know we can make this a reality—together.

But I can’t do this alone. I need your help, your passion, and your voices. Please, if you love our animal community as much as I do, help spread the word and make sure you’re registered to vote. Let’s finally make this dream a reality for our furry family members.

Join us at Walmart in Pico Rivera for a "Walmart's Grand Opening Event". Pet Rescue Solutions will be there offering microchips for $10 and Pet Tags for $3. Please get them before the 4th of July. We can prevent a lot of dogs from being out in the streets. There will be food vendors, Red Bull truck and a lot more activities. We are so grateful to be presented with a grant check from Walmart. So excited.. 😊See you there...

Hi everyone hope you guys are having a great week and staying safe. I reached out to the city 🏙️ recently to get any further updates on the building of the dog park in our city and no reply. I will continue our push to get a dog park in our city. I will be attending city council meetings in an effort to remind our city officials of our goal to get a dog park in our city. 🙏🐾

Officials with Los Angeles Animal Services are urgently looking for Angelenos to adopt or foster a pet. According to Animal Services, all of their six shelters are near capacity.

Currently as of 7/28/21 8:30am in SEAACA in Downey. 9 dogs 🐕 and 2 cats 🐈‍⬛ were impounded in the city of Pico Rivera just in case if someone lost their Dog or is kind enough to give them a forever home. Unfortunately if these animals do not find a home they will be put to sleep. Lets make our city a pet friendly . Lets be their voice 🐾🏡 🙏🐕🐈‍⬛♥️

Good morning everyone hope you are having a safe and blessed weekend. Just a quick update on my journey to bring a dog park to our city. As you may know from my past posting the idea of constructing a dog park in our city made the city council agenda. Also we have been having discussions of possible locations and where can the money be allocated for this project. Still there is nothing in concrete but when that becomes available I will keep you posted. I had not posted anything in the past few weeks due to the loss of my dog “Mickey” who we had to put to sleep. One of the most difficult and painful things I’ve ever done. Just the way he stood with us through good and bad times i stood with him in my arms to his last breath 🙏🐾. Thank you for the support.

Good morning everyone hope you are having a blessed and safe week. Just wanted to give you another update on my journey in trying to get a Dod Park in our city. I should be presenting to the city council and local officials documents supporting the importance of having a Dog Park park in our city. Will keep you guys posted once it’s done. Sorry for the the delay on an update. Just been busy also helping TNR (Trap Neuter Release) feral cats in our city / also trying to get resources for our pets in our city . Keep you guys posted. Today I got to meet this great man and resident of Pico Rivera that was out playing with his dog 🦮 “Sunny” in the location : Gallatin Rd & Rosemead Blvd where the Dog Park will be built soon. Our journey is not over. We have to keep reminding our city leaders of the importance of a dog park in our city and getting it built soon🙏🐾

City Council Meeting tomorrow 5/10/22 6pm. One of the items that will be on the table is the proposed site and look of our Dog Park in our city. If you would like to support our journey you can either go in person, or talk via telephone or zoom which the link is below. The only thing is that for either one you have to show up a little earlier. To be able to speak in person you have to show up a few minutes earlier to pick up a card from city clerk to speak. To speak via zoom or telephone my understanding you have to log on 30 minutes before the start the meeting at 6pm. Any questions please don’t hesitate to inbox me.
