Well i measured a few spots while tending to the flock most areas are 7 inches, a few 6 1/2 inches. The chickens are not a fan of the snow, the cats don't mind it, the dogs love it and are doing the zoomies. Thanks for watching.

Sometimes I don't think chickens are the smartest animals. It's around 15°f out here and they are choosing to stay out in the cold snow. Here in a few I'm gonna have to gather them all up and lock them back into the coop for their own good.

The happy little flock gave us 4 eggs today. Yes I know that don't seem like a lot, but it is winter. The days are shorter and cold, it is a time when chickens naturally slow down and take a bit and take break. I also only have 9 hens, that means about half of my girls paid rent today. That's not bad at all.
