Merry Christmas to everyone! Had an another great season of guiding. From watching Bill catch his biggest walleye ever, from Dean bringing his sons and grandchildren fishing to taking my family out. Making a lot of memories is what it is all about for me. This makes 30 yrs of guiding for me and I still enjoy taking people out. See you on the water.

Been about 3 years before the Luehrs family from Scottsbluff were able to make it back up to lake Oahe. They were sure glad they did with the amount of fish they caught. Grahm caught his personal best 20in smallmouth, already at the taxidermy shop. Roger Luehrs

Could ask for a better day, walleyes played really well! Grandpa Mike brought grandson Sully out for a quick day trip. Now back to Sioux Falls for basketball practice. Claire Helling, Ali Helling Bolger.

Had a really good day with the Wilkey family, went thru lots of fish always enjoy their annual trip. Not to often I have days open in June, but if your looking for a weekend trip with good fishing I have June 29,30 open.

Had another repeat client Bill Stanton said this is year #14 he has been coming out. Despite the big wind today they got their limit. Rob Stanton, Dan Stanton and Dans son Mason had a lot of fun. Glad Bill brings his family fishing so they can spend quality time together.

I gotta say this is my favorite part of guiding, taking the next generation fishing. From seeing Evelyn catch her first walleye to her sister Gabby teaching her what to do when she catches a fish. Seeing her Grandpa Mike Helling smile when his grandkids catch a lot of fish. Mike said he has been fishing with me for 12yrs this makes trip # 31. Well guide season is here👍! Looking forward to a good year catching fish and seeing all my repeat clients and some new ones! I have some open days in the May Memorial Day weekend and some weekends in June. Father’s Day weekend is open June 15,16 and 29,30. Give me a call 605 222 7012.

Happy Easter everyone, looks to be a busy year this year. If you’re looking for a family or group fishing trip this year give me a call. Fishing should be really good, walleyes, bass, catfish. Lots of opportunities to bend a pole and rip some lips!

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. My guide season had come to an end a couple of weeks ago. I would like to thank everyone that fished with us this year.

After guiding the last 85 out of 90 days, we are on a little getaway to Lake poinsett. Little golf, few drinks visit some family and relax. I know there is a boat in the background but no 🎣. I’ll be back at this weekend.

The boys from Sydney Nebraska came up for their annual fishing trip and Lake Oahe continues to put out some nice fish. Already booked for next year staying at The Outpost Lodge.

Had a fun day of catching with limits of walleyes and bass. Donated a day of fishing to Dna construction fundraiser. Phil Meyer bought the trip and took his brother Sam Meyer and his friend Al.
