Stevie, a courageous two-to-three-year-old dog, is searching for a loving foster home. Despite being blind, Stevie has overcome incredible challenges, including demodex mange, and is now regrowing his hair. This remarkable pup is housebroken and boasts excellent house manners, requiring only a cat-free home. If you're willing to open your heart to Stevie, please contact us. All his care will be covered.

Special Needs…. Foster to Adopt?

I’m sure you all remember “Stevie”. He is blind and very sweet. Unfortunately he has some big fear reactions to any medical care. He probably feels like he’s being attacked. He’s good with other dogs but not good with cats. He is a special boy and he needs a loving, compassionate patient home. We would love to find him a foster to adopt situation . But a fosterhome is fine too. Being bounced around must be hard on him. He also needs a fenced yard because he’s blind. Please help us find this guy a wonderful place to be fostered until we find him a forever home.

Our local animal control has caught 2 of the 3 puppies that were dumped at Walmart today. Shame on whoever did that. We are now desperately trying to find fosters for these pups so we can help AC out by pulling them and getting them into rescue. We really need puppy fosters folks! We're told these guys look like black lab mixes and roughly 9-10 weeks old. There is still one loose puppy in the woods at Walmart if anyone can help us secure the 3rd and now all alone baby before they're hit by a car 😭💔 we will post photos as soon as we've gotten them.
Fostering cost you nothing, we cover all the cost associated.

Fosters need to be local to sevier county /surrounding as we use a vet in Sevierville we need fosters to be able to get to when needed.

If you have EVER wanted to help...now is the time. Please, reach out to this amazing organization and foster or adopt. If you can't then PLEASE share. This cannot happen. SACC is not a "no kill" shelter but they have maintained no kill numbers since the beginning. My heart is broken for them as they face the prospect of taking a life because of space. What an impossible spot to be in. Please, please help.

Well...we had the interest and offers but the people who have her found out she is pregnant. The vet from that shelter has taken her home. We look forward to updates on sweet Cherish.

We were very saddened to learn that we lost another misfit who had found his happily ever after....Leo (formerly Trenton) has passed away. He was one of our East Ridge 14. I personally will never forget the day we brought them all home with us. Trenton was adopted in 2020 and renamed Leo. He had a wonderful life with his adopted family and I know they are missing him. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time

One of our rescue partners is asking for help to find a home for this adorable 4 month old male kitten. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. Evidently, when he was a few weeks old he was tossed from a car. The lady that found him brought him home and has taken care of him. She is elderly and he has tripped her once and she is just afraid of falling again. If someone could give him a home we would offer some flea treatment as well. Please contact me if you need to have a new best buddy. She is just calling him kitten so he needs a name :)

Our Rescue Partner needs our help!

Once again, dogs are being dropped off left and right & we are out of space COMPLETELY… dogs are outside AGAIN. 😓😓 with the winter temperatures approaching we need a game plan, and we need a game plan fast…

Can anyone foster a dog until we can get some space back in the shelter so we are not having to house dogs outside?😓😓 PLEASE??

This is so insane 😓😓
Even if it’s just a few weeks to keep them in the warm overnight 😓😓 or the weekend!!

My heart is heavy as I tell y'all that our sweet Nicky passed away in his sleep last night. We find solace in the fact that his last year was loving and happy in his foster home. Please say a prayer for his foster mama and fur siblings...they will miss him terribly.

It is always difficult when we lose the senior misfits...we know it is coming but we aren't ready. But I do know...had he landed anywhere else I believe he would have gone a long time ago. Fostering not only saves lives...it enriches the lives of dogs who may not even know what love is...I know that Nicky knew love all the way to the end. Thank you, Jessie ...you are an angel on earth.

We are in the process or organizing a food drive to help the animals from Helene. We will be collecting for a month. There is a lot going out right now but it will slow down...and we want to be there. We will be announcing drop off locations and all of the information soon.

Kitten update...
She (dilute calico) is with us now and I will be taking her to Sevier Animal Care Center . She was one of four kittens thrown out at the intersection of Wears Valley and parkway. The other three were run over and killed she is a fighter. I am so grateful to SACC for taking her in and to Pigeon Forge Animal Clinic for calling me and to the man on the motorcycle that saved her.
