Some good information to know about me :)
While some groomers begin as a grooming assistant or apprentice and learn entirely on the job, many attend a professional grooming school or certification program. Same as vet assistants, they learn on the job and are trained by techs that graduated school. I have worked as both, a dog groomer and a vet assistant.. I graduated from PA in 2015 to professionally groom dogs. I am certified to groom and have been trained well. Nail trims and a**l glands are taught in both fields. The only difference is groomers are taught to express a**l glands from the outside only. Vet assistants are trained to express from the inside. I have been taught both. Nail trims are done just as well as vet assistants/techs because we have been trained. You can see the pink quick in white nails and you don't cut too close. The black nails you cut a little bit and stop when you see a black dot in the nail. ♥️Never worry about your fur baby being groomed by me, I will care for your baby like my own ♥️
