Lodge of the Four Paws is a grooming and boarding facility for dogs and cats. We have outdoor and indoor kennels that are heated and air conditioned.

Our facility is able to take all breeds and sizes of dogs and cats. We also offer grooming supplies, dog food, brushes, combs, collars, leashes, toys, and treats.

Free Lodgeofthefourpaws t- shirt with any donation to the Perry County Humane Society while they last. They're always in need and we try to support them as much as possible. Just bring the donation by the Lodge and pick up a shirt. Open 8 to 4pm Tuesday to Saturday.

A rough week here at the lodge. Three days in a row I've gotten the dreaded call from longtime customers that their dogs have passed away due to old age. One had been coming every 2 weeks since they got him as a puppy. All 3 had been coming to me regularly since they were puppies for 12+ years. Even though they're not mine it's impossible not to get attached after so long together. The hardest part about grooming, we feel the loss of everyone else's pets too. My old lady, Tumbleweed, is almost 16 blind and deaf, but still the happiest when she's with me. She went night fishing with me and the kids last week. It was a hassle having her along and helping 2 young kids fish but especially after a week like this I'll keep her right by my side. She was "helping" Della reel one in this picture.

The Lodge of the four paws sponsored Ms. Arianna Williams at the juneteenth pageant in Duquoin a couple weeks ago and she won! Congratulations to all the contestants they all did great. I'm a little late in posting this.

Our phone line and internet were down last night and this morning. They should be working again if you got a busy signal before. We have call waiting and an answering machine so there should never be a busy signal. Message us on here if your call doesn't go through. I usually check messages morning and afternoon.

I was having an especially busy Saturday yesterday. Had a great customer bring us cookies from Larry's and sodas when they came back for their dogs. We really appreciate it when people bring us treats! We have some very thoughtful people in this community. Thanks to them and all the others who take the time out of their busy lives to think of others. They were delicious.

The shihtzu puppies came in for their first visit yesterday. 5 weeks old today. All are now spoken for.

Thanks Della Carroll for coming in and helping me put together 2 of our new cage banks! These things are heavy duty, stainless steel with alot of parts. They came in on a semi with 6 pallets.

Anyone near save a lot in Pinckneyville missing a young kitten? It almost got ran over so it's visiting with us until we can find the owner. If the owner isn't found after 7 days we'll be looking for a new home. Please share.

7 month standard poodle available. Current on shots. She likes to smile when she's happy. She's visiting with me today.

Playtime. Who needs a standard poodle or 2? Still a few 6 month old black males and females left.

Presley was in for a bath yesterday.

Today was alot less eventful than last Wednesday. These guys are a week old and mom is giving the baths today at home. Shihtzus, 4 boys and 1 girl.

One of our boarding dogs yesterday. She was more interested in pets than the snow lol.

Jill's last girl shihtzu is still sniffing around for her new home. PM for price and info.

Jill's shihtzu puppies have been coming to work to get some socialization. Today's antics included Chase trying to lick his way out while his sister, Brownie, chases and catches her tail. Brownie is 8 weeks old and ready for her new home. PM for more info.

Laying around in the grass and leaves just after getting a bath...... this little girl is still available! House trained, crate trained and current on shots 5 months old.

Update: new home with four other yorkie friends. Dolly, the yorkie, joined my dogs for potty breaks today. If anyone is interested in giving her a loving, permanent home PM us. She is about 10 years old.
