Did you know that the third week in September in National Farm Safety and Health Week? According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics "the agriculture industry is consistently at the highest risk for occupational injuries and fatalities, with 453 fatalities in 2021, or an equivalent of 19.5 deaths per 100,000 workers."

For many areas of the country, the fall harvest season is one of the busiest, but also one of the most dangerous for our nation’s farmers and farm workers.

Please join our staff as we welcome Dr. Emma Bliss to our team!!! Dr. Emma Bliss is from Nevis, Minnesota and graduated from University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Emma grew up raising Hereford cattle but enjoys working on all animals big and small. She particularly enjoys all cattle work, equine dentistry, and small animal surgery.

This cute little girl was found at the post office in Pine Bluffs. If anyone knows where her home is please contact us, we would love to return her to her family. She’s very playful and seems to be in fairly good health.

As our pets go in and out and are exposed/picking up internal and external parasites they are exposed to more infections and diseases. Proper flea/tick preventative for outdoor pets is so important.

We have detected plague in an indoor/outdoor cat from Albany County.
