This is Tucker! Tucker is a 16 year old liver chestnut gelding. Tucker is our third horse we owned. He stands close to 15hh and he is just so beautiful. Tucker came from a barn in Connecticut where we were not really told much about his background except that he has “been there done that”. When we first got Tucker, and he got his first physical exam, the X-rays showed inflammation of his navicular bone. Thankfully it is a very slight case and so far he only needed one round of treatment and hasn’t been lame (limping) once! Tucker teaches all ages from beginner to experienced and is the sweetest and most patient with all his riders. I’ve always said Tucker teaches his riders more than I ever could because he takes every little movement of his rider into consideration. Tucker has awesome breaks and will even sometimes break if you tell him he’s a good boy. His trot can be a little bouncy but his canter is by far the most comfortable I have experienced. Because we don’t want to put tension on that navicular bone, we do not jump Tucker, but he is capable of so much and everyone always has a great time riding him. In my opinion, the cutest thing he does while riding is in his transitions, he does one little hop (can’t really feel it in the saddle) and I think that makes him unique. Tuckers favorite treats are apples and sometimes carrots. (Depends on the day 😂). He also loves to be groomed and will sit there all day if he could. In the summer he loves to get a nice bath and his hair braided. One thing Tucker does not like, is to be away from his herd, he loves his friends. ❤️
