Sunflowers are starting to peak, won't be long till we have fields of yellow. Glad the Swamp Milkweed is doing it's job, 3 monarch catapillers spotted, along with whatever the hell all that yellow is, I'm thinking aphids but not sure. And lastly our crazy ass morning glory. She's grown 10 feet up the pole and 10 feet along the ground. Can't wait for flowers to appear on her. Cut sunflowers and photo op backgrounds soon available.

We've been busy on the farm lately. After Iosing the garden to a freak late frost we are slowly replanting crops. The sunflowers have been sown and I'm experimenting with some Sudan sorghum grass to see how the animals like it. All the pigs have farrowed and we have plenty to sell. All the kid goats are coming on nicely and we are waiting on a clutch of ducks, chickens and guinea hens to hatch.

Farms in full swing...waiting on piglets , chicken flock has grown this spring so we're starting to get more eggs, the kids are separated from the flock and putting on weight for the fair this year. The garden is growing well.....we just planted 32 mounds of pumpkins this morning that will be ready around the 2nd week of Oct. We also planted a 50 # bag of sunflowers that are growing great. Pasture is looking better this year, the fescue is growing well. Next year we are adding alfalfa and a few other grasses to the main pasture for better variety. Our barn is scheduled to be erected the end of Oct. Keep us in mind for your sunflower and pumpkin needs this fall along with feeder pigs.

Lil action on the farm past few days. We had 2 new kids from one of our rented goats, the meishan girls graduated from the back yard pen to the pasture. That was an exciting time watching them learn the electric fence, pretty sure they both got zapped a dozen times. Meeting new animals and the big pigs. Their being stand offish, but will acclimate into the sounder. Fire and Ice will bring great genetics to our sounder in the near future. Cutie Pie is growing fat and sassy. We unfortunately had to ship off Albus, our renter Buck. Me and him were not getting along and sooner or later we were gonna have a serious "come to Jesus conversation " and it wasnt gonna end well for one of us. He gave us great colors, genetics and conformation, his attitude just sucked. Henry boy is lookin good and will probably need a diet soon.....lol. He's a lil on the heavy side. Black Betty should soon be giving us a litter. The other 3 girls are just about ready for butcher. Debating on keeping 1 of them. We have 4 feeder gilts that need homes. Lookin about 80 to #100 lbs right now. Our does should all be kidding soon so we should have lots of kids in the next month or so. Unfortunately hermonies(another renter goat) passed after kidding 2 bucks so the kids are with their human mom till they are weaned and then will be back on the farm to be prepped for 4H this year. So if your lookin for a pig to feed out or want one for butcher, give us a hollar. Enjoy the pics and Merry Christmas from our farm to yours.

We've got 5 Turkeys for sale..... You pluck and clean. 5 weaner pigs 9and 2 Boar Bucklings . Cleaning out stock so I can purchase new pigs for the fall. Pics of the Bucklings up for sale.

So the farm is growing by leaps and bounds....Annie had 2 buck kids on the 15th, Pinky farrowed 7 healthy piglets today and Black Betty looks like shes going to farrow today.
