The Bears are Back!!! In 1982, Ronny and Mary Ellen Roberts moved their family to Big Bear Farm. Here they raised their children, ran horse shows and raised Connemaras and Warmblood sports horses. Eventually, their daughter Leigh Ellen Ertle took over raising Connemaras, her family and ran the show grounds. Leigh Ellen Ertle took a break from the show grounds to focus on Enoch Ministries. Time has come for the Ertle kids to rise up and take an active role in the show grounds, the Lodge and raising Connemaras, Gypsy Vanners and warmblood crosses. They will be offering opportunities for independent instructors to use the facility. Immediately upon reopening there will be 10!!! new cross country jumps added for schooling and training. West Mitchell will be offering Training of young or difficult horses. Full and pasture Board will be available as well as breeding and raising foals with a healthy list of young horses available for sale. The Johanson family has done a good job over the past few years but we are excited to take up this role again!!! Thankful for individuals who sacrificed so we could have the freedom in our beautiful country to worship our savior Jesus Christ, raise our families as we see, and to express ourselves openly and freely. Sadly some have chosen to express hate for God, country or others. I pray that we return to “Respect.” Respect for the each other’s rights to liberty that don’t impose on others, the laws of our land, and God’s flawless design of creation, kingdom values with laws.
