Seamus training session
.
This time at home in the Hudson Valley motivates me to get outside and work my own dogs
.
Today I practiced Using three different type of reward: (including intermittent reward. Important to practice your dog working for you with nothing for the real world!
1. ME! (Praise and love)
2. The ball!
3. Treats
.
In this session I worked
1. Sit -going in and out of sit as well from the down us something I’m always trying to perfect
2. Down (with both of English and German commands) -making sure German commands he’s following through immediately since that’s what I use when he’s “working”
3. Bring it and Drop it-this has been years of work to get so clean! It’s finally getting there and really just using play as a time we work on retrieves. I have not added back in using things that are mine.
4. Circle (used for crowd control/making space). -this one I’m struggling phasing out the hand command and him doing it on just the verbal.
5. Recall! NEVER STOP WORKING IT! 🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕

You know what I love? Teaching kids to train dogs.
These are life skills that they get to apply to dogs, their own life and being able to help others.
I started with horses, dogs and everything in between. I worked at various places including vets office, horse farms, landscaping companies etc.
All of these experiences built me to be the person I am today and I am forever grateful. #traindontcomplain
