Silver Valley Veterinary Clinic would like to welcome Dr.Lisa Silk to our practice!

Dr. Silk was born in Oregon and experienced farm life growing up. In her free time she enjoys horseback riding, snowboarding, wakeboarding, camping, hiking and working on classic cars.

Dr. Silk dually enrolled with Oregon State University and Washington State University where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She furthered her education in acupuncture, herbal and holistic medicine with a certification from Chi University, Florida and other areas of interest include anti-aging, detox and hospice for geriatric patients. She practiced throughout the U.S., then relocated to Guam where she owned and operated her own veterinary hospital for 17 years before returning to the Pacific Northwest to be close to family.

We are excited to have Dr. Lisa Silk on our team and we are thrilled to add acupuncture and holistic medicine to the services we offer our patients!

Recently we had the honor to provide the site for Shoshone County Sheriff's Department and North Idaho K9 Training Group to re-certify these amazing dogs that work so hard to keep our communities safe. Thank you to these officers/owners and of course these incredible K9s for the work that you do!

Hot Weather Reminders...

Check pavement, rocky surfaces, asphalt and other ground surfaces. If it's too hot for your barefoot or hand it's too hot for paws

Keep water available and the option for shade. Pets can suffer from heat stroke just like humans.

Vehicles get too hot, even with the windows down. Truck beds can also become too hot for paws as well.

Keep your pets comfortable and cool throughout the heat wave!

Our practice is expanding services in small animal dentistry. Our dedicated team will undergo extensive radiology training on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 to better serve you and your pets in this department.

The office will be open regular hours from 8am to 5pm on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. However, services will be limited. No Veterinarian or Technician services will be scheduled from 8am to 2pm, but our front desk team will be available for normal administrative services including food sales, prescription pick up, and scheduling appointments.

Just found! Wandered to our clinic with no owner in sight. Female. Friendly. Has a city of Smelterville tag and Kellogg Pet Medical Center rabies tag. Please call our office if you know this dog. Silver Valley Veterinary Clinic 208-682-2771. We close at 5pm, so please leave a message on our answering machine. We will have staff in and out through the weekend and will contact KPMC & city hall Monday if we don't find the owner.

Our clinic has an opening for an afternoon kennel attendant. This position is an excellent opportunity for youth looking for experience in the workforce, however all applicants will be considered. Applicants must be 15 years or older with dependable transportation. Shifts are approximately 2 hours long, directly after school (starting at 3:30pm) with the possibility of weekend & summer fill-in. The job consists of feeding & walking our boarders, cleaning, and assisting doctors & technicians when asked.
