Did you know that foxtails can work their way into your pet’s body through the skin and cause serious pain, infection, and sometimes even death?

Foxtails are a grass seed common to our area. Care should be taken to keep this w**d cut back or removed from any areas of your property where your pets have access. Whenever you go hiking through grass on your hikes, be sure to carefully check your dog’s fur, ears, and between their toes for the Foxtail seeds, and remove them right away. If you notice your dog shaking his head a lot or constantly licking a certain body part, a veterinarian should be consulted to help prevent more serious complications.
