Just a reminder we will be closed tomorrow Thursday November 28th to spend Thanksgiving day with our families. We will return to regular hours Friday November 29th. We would also like to remind you all that this is a busy week at the clinic so we apologize in advance for any delay on the phone lines or care. Dear valued WVC clients and family,
This year has been a busy one for most everyone and our clinic is no exception. With outside commitments, we have only had one doctor on staff a majority of days, leaving a very busy and over booked caseload. As a result, we are currently scheduling routine annual and wellness visits a month or more out at this time. In an effort to address urgent or emergent problems that may arise with your pet, our staff may offer you a “drop off” appointment. This type of appointment would have you leave your pet at the clinic and allows us to examine, perform any needed testing and imaging (x-rays/ultrasound) and provide treatment for your pet between existing appointments as our schedule allows. All pets receive the attention and care they need, but just in intervals as we get availability throughout the day. Each drop off case is triaged soon after admission, but lab work, x-rays, treatment plans and paperwork all take time, and the most in need patients are given priority. While not ideal, this method allows us to administer appropriate care for sick patients in a timely manner.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by our current scheduling difficulties. We strive to provide the best standard of care for you and your pets, while at the same time allowing ourselves and staff time with our families. Additionally, we are continuing to search for the “right” veterinarian to join and expand our practice.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding our drop off system, do not hesitate to reach out and we will be happy to help navigate through it.
