Ayla's Grooming Chronicles: Today's Adventures

Today was quite the challenge at the grooming salon. A rather large dog decided grooming was not on the agenda and performed an impromptu dancey dance of defiance in the bathing area. To add to our woes, one of our last functioning dryers (we lost two this month) took a tumble to the ground. When we attempted to restart it to finish drying a very large, very fluffy, mostly white giant, black smoke began spewing from the hose, covering our freshly cleaned pup in black soot. This meant we had to wash the dog again, putting us very far behind schedule with over 20 other dogs waiting, and only 1 dryer to do all these dogs.

As if that wasn't enough, a little while later, one of our team members got bit on the head while trying to coax another dog out of its cage.

Despite the chaos, we managed to find humor in the day. It's been a particularly stressful week, filled with all kind of events. While a few customers had some unkind words for us, we choose to focus on the very many loyal customers who showed us understanding and support. We truly, from the bottom of our hearts appreciate every one of you; your kindness & understanding helps us retain our sanity and reminds us that things will be okay in the end.

With holiday season in full swing. We did try to reach out and make sure all of our regular clients are good to go before scheduling any new clients wanting in!

We have 1 more full week until Christmas. Our groomers are taking a much needed holiday break to spend time with their families! Our last day here is Saturday December 21. We close December 22- January 2nd!🙂
