Camp cost is $650
50% deposit due when securing your child’s reservation. Remaining balance due will be processed the week before camp starts.

All campers will receive a Jordan Lake Day tee-shirt and water bottle.

Drop off and pick up is located at Seaforth Boat Ramp, Seaforth Beach Road Pittsboro, NC 27523
There is a $7 daily vehicle charge to gain access to the boat ramp for camp each morning. $35 for the week per vehicle. We have deducted the $35 from the base summer camp price of $685 to a net price of $650 per week.

Why Choose Jordan Lake Day Camp?
We utilize a sincere, honest family approach creating and sharing experiences that allow kids the opportunity to make unforgettable memories on the lake.

Our camps are conducted by a United States Coast Guard Captain who has over 30 years’ experience on the water. We hold Red Cross certifications in first aid and CPR. JLD follows all local and federal requirements to legally be on the water with paying customers. We are fully insured and bonded in the state of North Carolina.

Campers are highly supervised with experienced Jordan Lake Day staff ensuring their safety and ensuring they are having a great time on the lake.

Jordan Lake Day camp is an opportunity for kids to learn the joy of a “Lake Day”. JLD allows kids the opportunity to participate in various water sports. We offer tubing options on the 6-person banana boat, 6- person towboggan water mat, 5- person sombrero, 3- person gladiator, and the 2- person gladiator. The kids will learn how to respect the water and enjoy the fun of tubing together. The day to day activities will involve swim time and games on the semi-private JLD beach, team activities that include water volleyball, tug of war, bocce ball, co****le tournaments, and other various fun games. Swim time at the beach includes the use of all tubes, splash pads, water trampoline, floats, and spray cannons.

We try our best to allow the day to flow based on the kid’s enjoyment with each activity. So, we are not following a rigid structured schedule for everything we do. If the kids are having fun, we keep it going until it’s time to take a scheduled break for a snack and hydration. The kids will have several breaks throughout the day and will take time to enjoy lunch in the shade each day.

The Jordan Lake beach is always set up with (2) 12x12 covered canopy’s for shade and shelter if needed. The beach area has chairs for everyone along with tables and storage for personal items. Cups, ice, and water are always provided on the beach and on the boat. Kids will have a cooler to place their lunches in to keep them fresh and cool.

Campers will learn deck and boating safety along with general info on rules of the road (how to operate on the water). We will share the history of Jordan Lake with our campers allowing them to understand how the lake came to life and the importance of how it serves our communities.

We will have several lake cruises throughout the week visiting different areas of the lake like the dam, eagle sanctuary, and popular coves on the lake. The kids will have an opportunity to learn about the wildlife on Jordan Lake and hopefully will experience seeing an eagle up close.

Weather Policy
If the weather report predicts rain or thunderstorms on a camp day, we continue as planned. If rain falls during the day, we can provide coverage on the boat or the beach. However, we are on the lake and we are getting wet so if it’s just a light rain we continue with water activities. We constantly monitor the local RDU radar throughout the day and adjust our plans accordingly. If lightning is within 10 miles we are off the water and heading for shelter.

North Carolina weather seldom goes as planned. On many occasions the AM forecast will call for clouds and rain only to turn into a beautiful North Carolina blue sky with loads of sunshine. Many times, bad weather doesn't come or comes much later in the day. If extreme weather makes it impossible to ensure the safety of the campers an email will be sent to cancel camp that day and a make-up day will be offered on a Saturday.

Punctuality
For JLD to provide a pleasant camp experience we encourage all campers to arrive 15 minutes early of our scheduled start time of 9AM each day. If a camper is not present by 9:15 AM JLD camp will embark from the docks and head out to Jordan Lake beach. It’s very important for all campers to arrive on time and prepared for the day. If a camper misses the start time and arrives late to the docks you will need to contact JLD to see if arrangements can be made for pick up. This will be handled on a case by case basis and no refunds are guaranteed for campers who arrive late and miss out on the day. We will always do our very best to accommodate our campers and we ask you do the same with punctuality for drop off and pick up times.

Items to Bring to Camp Each Day
Lunch preferably packed in a small cooler with your child’s name clearly printed on the cooler.

Snacks – your choice we recommend individual wrapped items.

Drink – however we provide bottled water and recommend the kids staying away from soft drinks. Sports drinks are fine, but we would suggest limiting the number of drinks to 2 per day.

Change of clothes – Packed in a backpack your child should have tennis shoes or flip flops, shorts and a tee shirt. We never know what the weather will do so if we need to get off the lake for a dry safe activity, we want to be sure your child is comfortable.

Sunscreen – we recommend SPF 30 to 50 waterproof spray. Your child should have an understanding on how to apply and the importance of reapplying. Don’t worry we have many scheduled reapply breaks throughout the day to ensure everyone is safe in the sunshine.

Towel

Hat if your child likes to shade their face from the sun.

Life Jacket – not required as we provide them for each camper, but we have learned that the kids take a lot of pride going out and purchasing a life jacket for camp. This also helps provide an opportunity for parents to have a conversation about the importance of wearing their lifejackets and water safety. We review this each day at the start of camp and the kids are always required to wear lifejackets when we are on or in the water. No exceptions.
