Hey groomers! I wanted to share an opportunity to you all, but especially to those that like spicy dogs, behavior modification and/or taking on the dogs that need little more help.

Starting at midnight a course that covers the why of behavior by looking thru the LEGS(learning, environment, genetics and self) of the dog. It’s ethology and more. This is not just an exclusive dog trainers course but dog professional course. You will not learn how to train or handle things. You will learn why of what’s happening to make the best decision for the dog in front of you. It’s lead by Kim Brophy and developed from her Meet your Dog book, which I also highly recommend.

There is an amazing welcoming community. They host yearly conferences plus a support group on Facebook and monthly zooms on various topics, not mandatory but available if interested. It’s official! I completed my CARE-TC KD(knowledge demonstrated). Next I’ll be working towards my SD(skills demonstrated). These 3 programs are so valueable to me bc of their community. They put total welfare for all dogs first. When we meet the needs of our dogs (beyond food water and shelter) we can build trust and cooperation to a lot of things they didn’t enjoy prior. To my nail trim clients, would you be open to moving the nail trim day from Saturday to Sunday? Im open to changing the day or adding an extra day occasionally starting in 2025 and want to know what works for you. I’m open to other days as well. Feel free to comment your thoughts and opinions.
