Dear clients,

Spring is in the air, and there are some important changes ahead at Pawsitive Transfurmations.

📅✈️ Anneli will be out of the country from April 27 through May 20 to attend to personal family matters. We appreciate your understanding and support while she’s away! This will also coincide with a pre-planned renovation project, so Pawsitive Transfurmations will have limited opening hours (with some days being closed entirely) from April 21 through May 10.

✂️🐾 This brings us to our next announcement: We have a new groomer joining our Tiny Team! She will be taking over some of Anneli’s clients, as well as building her book of her own - and the best thing is, she’s already available for appointments! Unfortunately, she is not yet available for online booking, so for now you’ll need to call or text us at (412) 701-6069 for an appointment with her - her first day is May 12.

📍 If you are currently one of Anneli’s full-time clients and you wish to exclusively remain on Anneli’s schedule, please let us know at your next appointment.

We know this is a bit of a shuffle, and we truly apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you so much for your patience and continued support - it truly and sincerely means the world to us, and we remain forever grateful and privileged to care for your pups!

Last weekend, Anneli traveled to Maryland to compete in Charm City Grooming Competition. With the help of her teammates, she snagged a second place in Tag Team, turning our adorable doodle client Koa into a bedlington terrier.

She also passed her sporting practical exam, which is part of the journey towards becoming a Nationally Certified Master Groomer, with our beautiful English Springer client Clover May.

As always, a massive thank you to our amazing clients for all your support, and for trusting us with your furry family members.

📣 INFORMATIONAL POST

The 3/3/3 rule, also known as The Rule of 3, is a general guideline for understanding how long it takes a newly adopted dog to fully settle into a new home. Obviously, every dog is different and if you have a rescue dog your mileage may vary - a confident, socialized dog will move through these stages much faster than a shy dog who's had limited contact with humans in the past.

Grooming often involves brand new sights, sounds, and sensations, and it can be a somewhat stressful experience for any dog - especially a rescue dog still adjusting to their new home. They likely have not yet built a lot of trust in their new owner, and being introduced to a grooming salon may be very overwhelming. For this reason, Pawsitive Transfurmations recommends - whenever possible - that you wait to book your new pup's first grooming appointment until you've had time to build more trust and emotional security.
