This is dog food formula, but closely check labels to check protein content of your cat foods.

Careful also with companies selling to new companies and changing formulas.

If you switch foods, remember to do it gradually to avoid diarrhea or stomach upset.

Some of your older kitties may also be needing to switch to senior formulas for their sensitive stomachs.

Just remember to research before you buy. - J

New lawsuit challenges Blue Buffalo's claims of “protein-rich” stating a "small bowl" of Blue Buffalo dog food "contains more carbohydrate than a wild grey wolf is likely to consume in an entire lifetime."

We still have many adult Siberians that need homes. I'll be putting together an album of available kitties soon. -J

My cell phone is missing and I am unable to call people. I apologize. Bear with me.

People have been asking about prices, etc. about the available kitties. So I am going to post them tomorrow. Please keep in mind that some of these kitties are retired breeders which will require a different integration process into a new owners home. I am only looking for dedicated owners who are willing to work with them.. They have been the foundation of my breeding program and as such I want them to live they retirement into loving homes where they will get the attention and love they so deserve. I have been so appreciative of them. The other kitties I have have been returned to me for events in their owner's lives that have been unfortunate and as such they still need a home that is going to make a commitment to them. If you are seriously interested then I ask you to ensure you are making a commitment that is for their life time. I am open to pm but also please know given my sister's health care and my work schedule I am not always available to respond as quickly.

It has been a long road with Jan's illness and also getting kitties ready for their forever homes, I only want those people who are really committed to taking older kitties into their homes. I have no kittens. I have available kitties that are from age 3.5 to 8 ready for their homes. I have one special needs boy ( retired breeder) who needs to have a strict diet of UR and yearly blood work. He recently had dental work and blood work which was great. He has also been screened for HCM which was negative. I have two girls that will be going in for their workup mid September ( younger girls) for their bloodwork and shots. They are currently with a lovely blue silver girl ( now 8) that had come back to us after two unfortunate placements. She is like their mommy and I'd love to have her go with them. There will be not charge for the blue silver. I want her to have a chance at a committed home. If you'd like to talk with me please pm on facebook or send me an e-mail Some of my older cats are former breeders who need special considerations about integration, children, etc.

I have received many wonderful pictures, etc. from the Keitta family. I also have several inquiries. I will return your messages as soon as I am able. Jan is back in the hospital so that is the main priority at this time. Thank you kindly for understanding.

Just wanted to thank all of our Keitta family and those that have followed us over these years. We have been very dedicated to this special breed. Unfortunately circumstances faced us about continuing to breed. So I made the hard and very sad decision to close the cattery. I will be having some adult kitties to place. You would have to pass a interview to determine placement
So only serious interest only. You can contact me through message here or [email protected]. Adults will not be available until summer. Again serious interest only
No babies are available. Once again thank you to our Keitta Family.

02/02/2017

We have received the girls back tonight and working on getting them into a safe place to get familiar with smells, us, and noises. Katya is the braver of the two and Misha a bit more timid. Will keep you post as to how they are doing over the next week. If interested in these girls please contact us at [email protected] or on this page.

01/31/2017

We are taking the two year old girls back to KeittaSiberian on this coming Wednesday. We consider this as a rescue from her previous owner. We will be evaluating these girls for placement and thus they will be available. For those that are interested in a 1 year old Siberian baby, please contact us.

01/29/2017

Just want to announce that Keitta Siberians has not closed their cattery as it has been announced by one of our previous owners. We have taken a break from breeding this past season and will be breeding again in the spring. We will keep everyone posted. If you have any concerns regarding your kitten from us please contact us here on Keitta page or send a message to Jan or myself. Thank you for following us through the years. Jan's e-mail is [email protected] and mine is [email protected].

Happy New Years from Keitta. We have been on break. Updated information about mommies and daddies in the coming months.

Serious inquiries only for these two girls who need to be rehomed due to their owner's health problem. They are 11 months old. They were born in October 2015. One girl out of Selenga Fajana and Selenga Eliseiko and other girl out of Keitta Siberian Noire ( parents Snowgum Poppy and Eliseiko) and mated with KatyeMcFurr Keegan. Exceptionally well taken care of by owner. Owner asking $850 for the two plus toys, cat trees, etc. They are spayed and upto date with shots. Parents are HCM negative. Girls must go together . We are assisting the owner to vet new owners so please PM Pat Johnston on Facebook or send an e-mail to [email protected]. Looking for a home on the East Coast within car transportation.

Greeting Keitta Siberian people who are interested in our kittens. We have had to taken a break from breeding. We are looking towards breeding this fall with some of our queens. Our kings will be Lakota and Raegnar.Lakota is a black smoke with high white and Raegnar is a black classic. We will also be retiring several of our queens this coming year so please look towards us placing them in their new homes. We will keep you posted about birthing. We do not sell kittens at holiday times. If you want your kitten spayed or neutered before coming home we can accomodate this towards the purchase price. All of our breeders are screened for HCM and have health records from our vet. We screen for families carefully and as such, please note we are careful about placement.

04/23/2016

Dear Keitta Family, friends, and customers. This is Jan. I need to apologize to everyone for not keeping up with postings, and not getting back to people quickly, or at all, right now. These kittens deserve loving homes, and probably would have had them a lot sooner if I would have been feeling better. I am not one to post about how I am feeling or what is happening usually, but I feel since it has impacted our cattery, that I must. Pat works alot, and thus, I am left with the task of caring for the cats, website, page, etc most of the time. Pat interacts behind the scenes with her fellow breeders discussing issues of importance to the breed, and planning our breedings for this season (which are behind because of what I am about to write), and helps out where she can.

I have now for months been dealing with a degenerative knee that has prevented me from working, and using a cane to mobilize. I am on a narcotic for pain, as well as a high dose of anti-inflammatory medication. The narcotic leaves me spacy and unable to stay focused very well. This is another reason I am not working in some capacity. Also, I have had problems with being clinically depressed. Being on the narcotic obviously does not help the status of this. As consequence my focus on keeping up has been primarily with the direct care of the cats, and not with communicating with people. If you are not aware of how debilitating depression can be, you can read pretty much any information on the internet to find out. I am TRULY sorry that this has interfered with the functioning of our cattery. It may continue to impact me until I can have surgery on the knee so I can get off this pain medication. Hopefully this is sooner rather than later.

Currently, we have the two 6 month old boys available, plus Sassy, the split faced girl we planned on keeping to breed, and decided not to keep her because of her 'tortitude'. Since being spayed, she has become a big love, and her tortitude has calmed down greatly. She will make a wonderful companion for someone. We also have Keegan that we are trying to find a home for ONLY IN THE PITTSBURGH AREA. He is the classic red boy we retired early because of his urinary obstruction. He is doing great, but needs a lifelong special diet, and close monitoring to make sure everything is o.k. Thus the reason we want him in the area so I can be available to visit to check him out if necessary. I'll post separate photos of these kitties available.

04/23/2016

Here are the final two kittens we have available from back in late October. We are scheduling them for neuter. The price remains the same except the price of neuter is now included for them. Jules Verne is the golden, however, Mr. Peanut has lightened up a lot as well. The other kitty playing? Momma Noire, who is just a big kitten herself ;)

Hello Keitta family & friends. Website is up - mysteriously. I have had a HECK of a time with the new company that Yahoo! sold to to get things back up and running, and it seems, it may finally have ended up being a problem on THEIR end. After a software upgrade and reload of the ENTIRE site, and it still not working for awhile, I lost a LOT of hair from pulling it out!!! But, we are functional AGAIN! YEA! Also, Chubbs 2 went home today, and Miss Sassy has a home with one of our Keitta family members. Still two boys available, and I will be getting back to some of the recent contacts. Thanks for your enduring patience! ~Jan

02/18/2016

Here are the 3 boys available. 14 weeks old. I have been contacted by 3 people already, so they may already be spoken for. This is for those people to see to choose their baby! First two pictures are Chubbs the 2nd. The next 3 are Jules Verne. The final two photos are Mr. Peanut. All are brown classics (with Jules Verne being a warm brown/golden - he will continue to lighten in color as he gets bigger). All three are love bugs - and little imps!
