Tomorrow there is so much to do you have to get outside! You can start your day with the 8th Annual Urban Farm Tour (tickets on eventbrite) this is a perfect opportunity to go check out places you’ve never been and get some questions answered by the folks who are doing the work🌱

Afterwards you can come check us out with a bunch of friends from and around the South Hilltop area to celebrate Fall Harvest🌱

We hope everyone gets out and at least visits one garden and comes to the festival🌱

🤗 Thank you for inviting us to an amazing event this weekend! What a time of joy, community, and celebration. The music 🎵 was incredible, vendors were great and everyone who came out was just radiating happiness. 🤩

Our “imagination station” 💡had two activities but we encouraged everyone to simply do what their desires and use their imagination. 🙂 Beading necklaces seem to be all time favorite but the living art with chia (80s/90s babies its ok to call them chia pets 😂) were a hit!! Seeing the creations come together is easily the most exciting part of the day. 💖

❣️Things came full circle for us when told us many of the ingredients 😋used in their meal came from The Slavery to Freedom Garden in which were grown by us!! 🥹 What a rewarding experience the day turned to be we are already looking forward to next year🌱🌱

There can’t be a way you’ve found us and havent heard us mention Catapult Greater Pittsburgh. They have been supporting us from a time when there was no products….just a dream and lots of passion. I (Raynise) probably foamed at the mouth when i talked about what we wanted to do five years from the day we were accepted into the cohort. We are proud say we are so close reaching our many goals. We’re grateful for the recognition because we’re busy doing the work we rarely notice who notices us.

Black History for me doesn’t stop or start just with the past everyday we’re curating a story that can be told for years to come. If we center community in our stories his and hers we can shift narratives, pe*****te barriers, all year round by lifting up our brothers and sisters empowering each other with our skills, passions and our hearts.

When I’m asked about my story depending on at which part we start I will always have someone to lift up into the light. I didn’t do any of this on my own and I’m grateful for those who have done this work before me and those along side me no matter their path or purpose we connect through serving people through our hearts.
