🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from your friends here at Banfield Caste Village! We are closed today (11/27) and tomorrow (11/28) for our staff to spend the holiday with their families. We will be open Friday 11/29 at 7AM and normal business hours Saturday 11/30 🐾

If you’re experiencing an emergency with your pet, please take them to one of the local urgent care facilities or ER. If your pet is on one of our Optimum Wellness Plans, you also have access to our pet chat, where a licensed professional is available to answer questions or concerns and provide you with recommendations. We hope you all have a safe holiday!

🦟🦟 As we start to move into the fall weather here in Pittsburgh, we want to discuss the importance of year round flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Pennsylvania doesn’t experience extreme cold temperatures for long enough for those pesky ticks and mosquitos to die off. Even if you have strictly indoor pets, they can hitch a ride on your clothing or simply make their way in when the doors are opened. There is also no treatment for heartworm in cats and ferrets, so it’s very important to keep even our indoor pets on year round prevention. What is nice about our wellness plans, is that they are completely customizable, so you can add your pets prevention in and we also give you a decent discount for doing so. It’s also added right into your payments so it’s paid for over the course of the year instead of having to pay the cost up front out of pocket, making it affordable and easy for you as a pet parent. Our team has been busy these past couple months. Not only have we been celebrating being pet and human parents but we have been celebrating our new accreditation status. Our Caste team has recently been AAHA certified. What that means for your fur kid is that our hospital has chosen to go above and beyond with the quality of care that your pet receives in the hospital.
