Please be aware that we are in the process of migrating our electronic medical records to a new system this week. We will have a reduced work flow in order to successfully make the switch.

If you are in need of refills we kindly ask to be patient and allow extra time for these tasks to be fulfilled.

We are excited to implement this new system to streamline our medical record keeping and look forward to being back at full capacity next week.

Our kids camp was a great success this weekend. Dr. Meghan Fincher and Dr. Amanda Resek hosted kids from the Pittsburgh region to come experience veterinary medicine. We discussed x-rays, learned about surgery, got to tie our own sutures, and did bandaging techniques. Giving back to the community and seeing young enthusiastic minds is the best!

We make every effort to reduce their stress through pheromones, frosted glass rooms away from dogs, cat trees, tv’s that play relaxing videos, as well as lots of treats and fleece blankets.

This fine young man is celebrating with his “Jaws” themed E-collar after his surgery. Mr. Alfie blessed us with his amazingness- both in cuddles and humor surrounding his E-collar.

Did you know that the film “Jaws” was released 50 years ago on June 20th, 1975? It will be re-released in theaters this fall!

As of 5:18pm, our hospital is still without power. We are aware of duquesne lights update about service possibly taking several days to be restored. We hope that is not the case for our hospital.
