Since most plants are green, does that mean they don't use green light? The sunlight reaching Earth's surface is full of lots of green photons. Is most of that energy being wasted? Some people wonder why plants aren't black, thinking this would allow them to better utilize sunlight. Others focus on purple (Red/Blue) LEDs, expecting that color spectrum to be better adapted to plants. Is that true? Or is sunlight more useful for plants than people realize?
