We are excited to announce two adoptions for this evening! Little kitten Kate, who just arrived last night, has found her forever home. The young lady who adopted her had been to the lounge several times, looking for the perfect match, and Kate was it! From the main room, Tango, also known as Peaches, will be going home with Kitty Queen alumna Marina - yayyyy! We are overjoyed that two more kitties will be home for the holidays. 🎄❤️🎄❤️

Randall was at the lounge for a very brief period this evening before he was adopted by a lovely family. He was prepared to go home and get settled in before Santa comes! The little guy will be equal parts fun and snuggles.

Kittens are coming 😻😻😻😻😻😻
Visitors and potential adopters have been asking when we will be bringing in more kittens. Stop in this week to meet the new kittens, and check out the few sweet older kittens that have been patiently waiting for their fur-ever homes.

Our Black Friday/Holiday sale is still going strong with more new items being added regularly 🎄 Shopping and kittens = a great time at the lounge!

Tonight, kittens took center stage! Pumpernickel and Cheese won the hearts of their prospective fur moms, and the delight is evident in their beaming smiles. These two sweet kittens are all set to settle into their new forever homes and celebrate the holiday season with their new families. Wishing a wonderful life to the kittens! 😊

Monday Spotlight! Let's shine the light on Super Senior Smokey . Smokey arrived at KQCR this past July when her fur-dad became ill and could no longer care for her. Smokey had lived her entire 10+ years with one person and came in a little bit shy, but has become a beacon of joy with her sweet personality. Smokey loves to be brushed and petted, and is looking for a forever home to spend her golden years. Let's find Smokey the purrfect person to spoil her like the princess she is 🥰

It's official: Ginny has been adopted! This sweetheart was a foster-fail, which, although it sounds negative, is actually the best news for KQCR kitties. Ginny's foster mom has fallen in love with her and decided her home was Ginny’s home.
We wish Ginny a wonderful life!

Ivy's journey has taken a heartwarming turn! Adopted and returned recently due to circumstances beyond her control, Ivy is now embarking on a new chapter in life. We're overjoyed to have played a part in her second chance. Here's to a long life filled with lots of love and snuggles for Ivy!

Happy Caturday!
Three adoptions today😻
Blaze, Morticia and Dollie! They quickly won over their new fur-parents hearts. Just look at those smiles🥰 These kitties all came from rough backgrounds and deserve a second chance at a happy forever.
And we missed posting yesterday’s adoption - Cherry!! This shy sweet kitty has come a long way, can’t wait for updates as she settles in and gets comfortable in her new home 🥰

This evening, the first adoption occurred in the senior room, where Helene, a sweet and gentle older girl, immediately won the heart of a visitor. Helene is a frail yet affectionate little girl who enjoys curling up and napping. Her new furmom is committed to providing her with the love and affection she deserves for the remainder of her days. The second adoption took place across the hall in the Kitten room, where a visitor fell in love with Nick, a quiet and shy little boy. Nick quickly snuggled into his new adopter's arms, it was a sign that he had found his forever home.

Cherry ❤️ and Tiger Lily ❤️ are ready to shine! Since arriving at KQCR in July, these tabby girls have transformed from timid kittens to vibrant, playful companions. Although their transition to the lounge has been a bit daunting, they're gradually revealing their charming personalities. Will you be the one to acknowledge their unique spirit and offer them a loving forever home?

Our Story

Kitty Queen Cat Rescue is a 501c3 rescue organization dedicated to helping homeless, abandoned, and unwanted cats and kittens. We have opened an incredible Cat Lounge (our version of a cat cafe) between Kennedy Twp & Robinson Twp, not far from downtown Pittsburgh and the International Airport. We would love to have you come visit our rescue kitties! Whether you just want to hang out with some awesome cats or you are looking for a new addition to your fur-family, we’re excited to have you!

We host great events, too! Stop by for yoga with cats, mew-vie nights, crafts with cats, wine & whisker events, and a ton of other fun & exciting activities.

We are a 501(c)3 non profit rescue organization. All of the donations from caring cat lovers like your are tax deductible! Our Federal EIN is 82-2305983. We operate solely based on donations from loyal cat lovers and the hard work of incredible volunteers.

Looking for a cat or kitten that needs a loving home? We're the area's best match-makers! Every feline that is available for adoption through Kitty Queen Cat Rescue is tested for FIV/FELV, has age appropriate vaccines, is spayed or neutered, and is microchipped for safety. Each potential adopter will be pre-screened and must fill out an application before being approved to choose one of our beautiful little cats.
