We are working hard, growing our breeding program to bring our families Ragdolls with traditional lines only (not mixed with minks and sepias) to bring you the deepest blue eyes and the famous Ragdoll personality these miracles are known for. Our plans are to build our small cattery to offer seal, blue, chocolate and lilac Ragdoll babies to our future families. We hope to help you fill your home with the love of a Ragdoll! We are small, with only a limited number of litters per year, so each kitten gets our full attention. Our adult cats are imported from different countries to ensure diversity in their genetics and good health in the future and because traditional lines are becoming very difficult to find in the United States.
We are dedicated to the traditional Ragdoll. We do not breed minks, sepias or solids, as we see many breeders here in the US breeding for colors instead of conformation of the breed. We breed for the personality and temperament the Ragdoll breed is known for and of course for their incredible beauty and the physical conformation of a strong, muscular, large cat.
All of our babies are spayed and neutered before leaving us. This is so very important to me. I see horror stories all too often of cats and kittens suffering and even dying when the lay person decides to breed their Ragdoll after entering a contract that specifically says they are forbidden to do so. This practice not only puts the cats and kittens at risk of illness and suffering, it also diminishes the breed. I read people complaining that their Ragdoll doesn’t act like a Ragdoll. And then it is revealed they bought “without papers” kittens or cheap kittens on Craigslist, thinking they are saving money. Instead they are very often left disappointed and even worse spending hundreds or thousands on sick kittens. These cats are often outcrossed with other breeds and even with strays and or other domestic cats. If you really want a Ragdoll, get to know your breeder. Ask them about the kittens. Ask them a ton of questions. If they don’t want to give you their time, they likely don’t spend time with the babies they’re trying to sell you either. Just my thoughts on this magnificent breed. Other countries have laws to protect against these practices. I wish our country did. I wish our animals were better protected. Again, just my two cents.
