Please don’t dump animals ❤️🩹 and please help when an animal is in need - you are the someone that can help.❤️
This rooster was dumped in the woods outside the city a while back, and I was notified on Friday. I went after work and sat with kiddo for hours, mostly just talking and trying to find his resting spots; it was a rough evening, and he was weary, but intrigued. I couldn’t get him, so I planned to come on Saturday with help.
I finished work early and headed over to feed him and gain more trust - to my surprise, he got close enough to allow me to snag him with my boss’s net (shoutout to Allegheny CleanWays). I was incredibly thankful he wouldn’t have to spend another night out there alone and in frosty danger - and he got to meet his new friends, Jason, Kalee, and Alyssa, and feel true love and compassion.
This handsome roo is now settled into his quarantine coop at the Coven. He will be with us for about two weeks. We are ecstatic to have him here. I’m doing a full health assessment today, and I’ll tend to his frostbite. He is truly a badass survivor. Very strong and incredibly intelligent.
✨Special thank you and shoutout to for sharing his story with me, being the best advocate for this boy, driving out to meet him, and helping him find safety and serenity! 🙏
And thank you to Jason for helping me prepare to catch our chilly friend, getting him settled safely, and dropping everything to help us. 🖤
I’d also like to send a sweet thank you to those who rooted lil boy on and shared his situation to get him help.🐓
🙌A massive thank you to for kindly opening their hearts and home to this brave kiddo! Once he’s finished quarantining with us, he will be joining his new family and living out his best life with them. So grateful and appreciative of Gabby and the residents at Echo.💚
🐔We’ve been calling him Krampus/ Baby Kramp since I met him on Krampusnacht and was determined to get him the hell out of there. Haha. 👹
Lil boy reminds us to always help those in need, show kindness to all this season (and beyond), and to rehome your animals responsibly.🫶
