TO MY TEAMMATE
Dear Trixie,
You know how proud I am of you for earning your big pink ribbon in Bunny Dash at B&D Creekside. But I also want you to know how proud I am of you for earning three small Qualifying ribbons in Rodeo Dog at Keystone in December as well. They may not seem like so much when you received 3 Qs but 13 NQs in the 16 runs of those trials. They don’t represent titles but are important Qualifying ribbons nonetheless. They are your first Q at the Performance Champ level in Clover, your first at the Halter level in Round Up, and your first at the Master level in Lock, Stock, & Barrel. You haven’t been working at these levels for long, and this was your first time to compete at them. I knew you could do it from your performance in classes, but you far exceeded my expectations because in these trials you pretty much earned the Qs all on your own. Your teammate was injured and could not give 100 percent. You knew something was off because I wasn’t always in the space where I was supposed to be for you. You picked up on my levels of pain and stress, which caused you to be stressed as well. I did not have the stamina to provide all the practice you needed to succeed at subsequent runs. Yet you persevered and carried more than your share of effort for our team. Thank you for those three little Qs! I am blessed to be your teammate.
Love, Dee F.

Beginner and Intro Titles for Ruby in December 2024!
December was a big month for Ruby, as she earned not one but two titles in two different sports that we’ve been working very hard in!
First up, Ruby was awarded her Intro Title in WCRL Rally! She worked hard, stayed focused, and showed off her obedience and skills on the course.
Ruby also earned her Beginner Title in Rodeo Dog in both Clover and Straight line! Her energy and excitement are off the charts with this sport – she loves those barrels. It’s incredible to see her shine at such a fun and dynamic sport.
We’re so proud of Ruby for these fantastic accomplishments, and we’re excited to see what’s next for us! It is really rewarding to see how far she has come in such a short amount of time!

I had the best time at the December KCTC Rodeo Dog trial with Mom. I saddled up for the first time since last December and gave those barrels a run for their money - look out! I rode off with 4 more Q’s in Master Straight Line and got my first 4 Master Lock Stock and Barrel Q’s and lots of first places. Many thanks to everyone who helped make the trial a huge success and congrats to all my fellow competitors on your great runs and new titles!! I LOVE Rodeo Dog - Giddy Up!

RODEO RUFFLES REMEMBRANCE AWARD
The proud winner of the Rodeo Ruffles Remembrance Award on Saturday, December 14th, at the KCTC Rodeo Dog Trial, was the very deserving and happy 8-month-old Diaval, service dog in training, and his equally happy mom, Jocelyn! He had a blast! This award was presented to the happiest pup on Saturday in honor of Ruffles, who loved Rodeo Dog.

KCTC Member Wednesday Wags N Brags (from January Newsletter):
On October 17, 2020, Trixie embarked on her new journey in Bunny Dash at B&D Creekside Event Center in Latrobe. A little over a year old, she had no idea what she was expected to do. On that first day she earned a total of four points. She still may not understand that she is supposed to be chasing a “bunny” on a wire, but she knows that she is supposed to be running 40 yards to me. And that is the best feeling to see my dog happily running toward me! Now, after a little more than four years, Trixie has accumulated more than 1500 points in Bunny Dash and was awarded the Enyrgizer Bunny Title on December 29, 2024! She now has 16 points toward the next title, just 484 more points to go! — Dee F.

KCTC Member Wednesday Wags N Brags (From January Newsletter):
Today Molly participated in her final Rally Obedience trial at Keystone Canine Training Club. She did one run at the Veteran level and is now retired. She showed her usual enthusiasm for running the course and was gracious enough to pose for a picture afterwards. She is almost 15 years old and has been doing Rally since 2017, winning many ribbons and championships at many levels. I’m going to miss Team Molly ❤️
