http://www.keystonecanine.com/ Keystone Canine Training Club offers dog and puppy training in the Pittsburgh, PA area. We have certified CGC and TDI evaluators.

We are a non-profit organization mainly devoted to providing Basic Obedience training to dogs and their owners, to make their pets well-behaved family members and welcome members of the community. We also offer classes in more advanced Obedience, Agility, Rally, and Canine Good Citizen (CGC)/Therapy Dogs International (TDI). In addition, we have an extensive Community Outreach program, and give fr

equent demonstrations (including dance routines and “doggie weddings”) at senior citizen homes, day care centers, community events, and nursing homes. Our events have been featured in local newspapers and cable television. Our classes are open to the public. All of our instructors and officers are strictly volunteers, who freely donate their time and energy to benefit the community. See the Testimonials page for some comments on our classes. The Heid clan had a great scent work month! Baby Bruiser earned his CPE Scent Sport Level 2 title, Mister Blue earned his AKC Master Exterior title and best of all.....Jordi earned her CPE Sniffing Champion title - C-SNITCH, which is a Level 5 title and 1000 points.

The Aussie kids have been busy!! Murphy earned his Dock Senior title in dock diving and his Master Container Elite AKC scent work title!
Tucker is really starting to find his groove with scent work- he earned his Advanced Interior, Novice Exterior, overall Scent Work Novice and Buried Novice Elite titles at Youngstown’s summer trial! He was on fire!
Baby dog River is starting to play as well and is really taking to scent work! She earned her AKC Novice Container title as well as her CPE Level 1 title!

I am so pleased to announce that Trixie earned her Performance Champ title in Lock, Stock, & Barrel and her Halter title in Clover at Keystone's Rodeo Dog trial on July 20-21. I didn't think she could get this far past the Performance level, and I am so proud of her and of the progress she has made. I thank our instructors for their help and encouragement.

Happy Halloween!

KCTC Wednesday night Rodeo Class celebrated Halloween with costumes.

We are sorry to share the news that our former Training Director, Lucy McCloskey, passed away in May. Lucy was a kind, supportive friend and a talented & patient dog trainer. She mentored and trained many of us here at KCTC and left an amazing legacy in the dog community. She’s an inspiration! Please share your memories.
