Quinn Cornell earned his BCAT at the Canfield fast cat trials. To earn a fast cat title your dog has to run a hundred-yard dash chasing a lure of white plastic bags. Depending on speed and handicap you get points. To earn a B Cat you have to have 150 points Quinn loves to run— his top speed was 23 mph. The boy is sure a fast cat.

Star earned his D CAT Title on August 12th. It was his first night trial for Fast Cat. He enjoyed the Altoona Area Kennel Association Trial at B n D. He loves running Fast Cat so much, he tries to go back and run it again.

Team Zoey got our CPE CCSS-L1 (Containers, Interior, Exterior, and Vehicle) Scent Work Title at Splash N Dash in Plum Pa on Saturday, August 12th. We took 2nd place for Vehicle and 3rd place for Interior.
We thank all the Instructors at Keystone Canine Training Club. They are the best. Laurie McCain, Ardentt Retrievers, for giving Zoey a great start in life. And my wife, Lois, for practicing and improving Zoey’s hunting skills with Hide and Seek games.

On 6.11 Sal and Red Bull got to run fastCAT. This was super important to us and Sal has been slowly losing his vision over time. But he can still see! Red Bull is 8 points from his bcat!

After years of proudly earning the Teacup in TDAA trials, Noah Carducci finally earned ribbons in Keystone’s July 16 trial with second place in Puppy Cannon and first place in Gamblers. One to go for a Games I title! Big brother Isaac was also proud to compete in an AKC agility trial hosted by Altoona Area Kennel Association at B&D just after his 11th birthday this month. Thanks to their instructors for all of your support!

The happiest dog in the KCTC Rodeo Dog trials on Saturday July 22nd and the winner of the Rodeo Ruffles Remembrance Award was Peanut. She had so much fun playing Rodeo with her proud mom, Clemence Xuaterc! Congratulations, Peanut!!!!

I had a very good time at the KCTC Rodeo Dog trials, too! I ran 12 times, got 12 firsts and finished my Haltar Round Up title and earned my Performance Champ Clover title. I also got 4 more Q’s in Master Straight Line and was the very first pup to get 4 Q’s in the new Master Lock Stock and Barrel game. Thanks to everyone for a fun-filled weekend! Congrats to all our RD friends on their new titles, too. See you all in December - giddy up!

Wow - did I ever have fun at the KCTC Rodeo Dog trials! It was my first trial EVER - I earned my Beginner Clover and Beginner Straight Line titles and got a pretty blue first-place ribbon on each of my 6 runs. I think I like Rodeo Dog. Giddy up!

This cute little Rodeo Dog "cowgirl," Trixie, earned her 30th Q in Performance Clover and her 30th Q in Performance Straight Line, resulting in a PLTCSL title on July 22, 2023. Then on July 23, she earned a Halter title in Straight Line. I am so proud of her.

What a weekend we had at the recent Keystone Canine Training Club WCRL Rally May trials - Buttons and I were rocking with Mom!! Lots of awesome scores including a perfect 210 for Buttons on Saturday and she also won the special award of High Scoring Dog in Level 2A Sunday morning and first place! Buttons also placed second in her second run on Sunday and got her RL2 title off-leash!! I was very focused (most of the time) and came home with a fourth and third place on Saturday and I also got my RL2 title on Sunday with a score of 205 off-leash and first place! WE DID IT!! Buttons and I were also very helpful and read each sign to Mom in our last runs on Sunday afternoon just to make sure she stayed on course ‘cause she was running out of gas. 😂 MANY THANKS to Judges Phyllis Huber and Valerie Hagley, trial chair Mary Jo Daly and her crew, our beloved instructors, and all the many great volunteers who made this trial possible. Congratulations to all our friends who also did great and earned new titles!

Wind Chaser's Northern Exposure (Expo) earned 2 first-place ribbons in Novice Standard, 1 second-place ribbon in Novice Jumpers & 1 4th place ribbon in Open FAST at the Clarion County agility trial. She also earned her Novice Standard title. It was a great weekend.

This past June team Murphy earned our C-Wags L3 Investigator and Ranger 2 titles at Keystone’s spring trial. We also earned our RATS (senior) Barn Hunt title this month with two 1st place /High in Trial runs! Over Memorial Day Weekend, we finished up our AKC Interior Novice title (SIN) to finish our overall Scent Work Novice (SWN) title! This boy loves to use his nose!

In Memoriam - Bailee:
On July 9th, I had to say goodbye to my heart and soul, Bailee. She was “the dog you get in your 20’s” that goes through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows with you, the one you’ll never ever forget. She was my first agility dog, and my first scent work dog when we found the sport after her cancer diagnosis. I’ll never forget how fast her little nubbin tail would wag when she found a hide! I hope she’s on the rainbow bridge endlessly chasing her ball on a beach, hiking with her friends, barking at ducks and eating ice cream for dinner every single night. She fought cancer hard and lived over a year and a half longer than anyone thought she would. I’m going to miss her every single day for the rest of my life.

Molly and I had three runs at the Keystone Canine Training Club Rally trial on May 21. We earned eight ribbons: Qualifying score in each run, fifth, fourth and second place rosettes in levels 1, 2 and Veterans, and our level 2x2 and Veterans championships! So proud of my 13-year-old girl!
