Meet Erika, one of our excellent Veterinary Assistants!

Erika graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in 2022 and worked at our sister hospital PetVet365 Fox Chapel until moving to The Terminal. She loves the fear free methodology at all PetVet365 hospitals and strives to make every visit as welcoming as possible. Her interests in vet med include phlebotomy and dental procedures. While she does not currently have pets of her own, she loves spending time with all of her patients at work! In her free time, Erika loves listening to pop and R&B music and practicing yoga.

Meet Andrew, one of our amazing Shift Leads!

Andrew has a MS in Marine Science, but has worked as a Veterinary Assistant for the last 3 years. He doesn’t have any pets of his own right now, but helps take care of his sister’s dog, Axel, who is very hyper and needs a lot of attention! Andrew loves connecting with clients and working with them to determine how best to help their pets. In his free time, Andrew attends every Pirates game he can and takes advantage of any nice day to go hiking. Prior to working in veterinary medicine, Andrew worked with 5 different species of sea turtle in Costa Rica, Pittsburgh and (his favorite) Hawaii.

Meet Alyssa, one of our fantastic shift leads!

Alyssa began her career in the veterinary field in 2015 and received her Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2017. She later graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in 2021. Alyssa lives in Pittsburgh with her husband, 2 cats, 4 dogs, 3 guinea pigs and bearded dragon. Her passions in the veterinary field include client education, dental care, and small mammal and exotic medicine. In her free time, Alyssa loves to care for her houseplant collection, read, and spend time with her husband and pets.

Thank you to everyone who submitted guesses for yesterday's trivia challenge!

Dogs present to their veterinarian most often for skin allergies! According to a 2023 study by Nationwide Insurance*, 20% of all insurance claims for dogs were related to skin issues. In fact, allergies have been the top claim for 12 years running. Coming in a close second is gastrointestinal issues, followed by ear infections.

Dr. Pritts is a native of West Virginia where she attended WVU for undergrad, before moving to Mississippi State for veterinary school. She has been enjoying a career in veterinary medicine for the last 7 years and is certified in acupuncture from CuraCore. Now she lives in Pittsburgh with her husband Josh, lab mix Daxter, husky Aberdeen, boxer mix Puppito, and black cat Ollie. Meet Dr. Rebecca Theodorou, full time veterinarian at PetVet365 The Terminal.

Dr. Theodorou (or Dr. Theo as she likes to be called) grew up in suburban NJ before attending undergrad at Kenyon College in Ohio. There she majored in English and creative writing before realizing that veterinary medicine was her true passion. She attended Iowa State University for veterinary school, but decided it was far too cold and moved to Pittsburgh in 2019. She lived in the Strip District for some time, so she’s very excited to be back and working in the area again! When she’s not at the clinic, Dr. Theo enjoys spending time with her fiance, 3 cats (Geode, Beatrice, and Druzy), and pitt mix Luka. She loves to read, craft, and work on her house in her free time. Meet Dr. Brittany Naumann, full time veterinarian at PetVet365 The Terminal.

Dr. Naumann grew up in southeast Virginia before attending Ole Miss for undergrad and University of Illinois for veterinary school. Now she lives outside of Pittsburgh with her husband and a motley crew of animals (including Lane, her dog, and a herd of cattle for her cow/calf operation). She has been practicing veterinary medicine for 11 years, and has broad experience ranging from equine to mixed animal, and now to small animal. Meet Dr. Emily Morse, owner of PetVet365 The Terminal and North Fayette.

Dr. Morse was born in Boston, but has spent most of her life here in Pittsburgh. She stayed in the area for undergrad at Penn State and then veterinary school at UPenn. She has been in the veterinary field for 20+ years and is thrilled to be starting a brand new clinic in the vibrant Strip District. She has a special love for surgeries of all kinds, preventive care, and especially exotic pets! When she’s not at the clinic, Dr. Morse enjoys spending time with her 2 cats, Puma and Beau, and her tripod pittbull Moxie.
