💙 Today we are back at the vet with Benjamin’s follow up and a new rescue transfer.

🩷 Tomorrow NINE rabbits head in for vaccines and TWO of them are also being spayed including Mama Butter Pie pictured below.

❤️ So far, Mama Butter Pie’s first vaccine has been sponsored, but that is it.

Rabbits, like dogs and cats, are pets that need social interaction and daily care. In return, you'll have a companion who will be with you, just like other pets.

Adopt, don't shop. Not sure if a rabbit is for you, consider fostering to adopt. Spend time looking at, and talking with, local rescues, shelters and those who have a rabbit.

We’ll get to the “good stuff” some day soon, but today is another emergency vet visit. Calvin, who is from the same surrender situation as Benjamin, has taken a turn for the worse. Among other things, his body temperature is dropping dangerously low. We’ve been providing supportive care including warming him up, providing supplemental nutrition, fluids and more. The vet was able to squeeze him in today - Thank You! - after lunch. Calvin and the other rabbits from that surrender have faced an uphill battle due to long-term neglect. We’ve already lost Jerry and have continued to fight for Ben & Calvin. We are waiting on biopsy results for Calvin and he has been under treatment for other concerns but these symptoms are new.
