Our special friend Mami is still looking for her people!
Mami is 8 years old, and the kittens are kind of making her anxious…She may seem high energy and cranky in the cat room, but we’ve been bringing her out front in her penthouse and she’s like a whole different kitty!

Mami loves hugs, cuddles, and ear rubs. ❤️ She enjoys cuddling up on a soft blanket and looking out the window. Mami is a chatty girl and will tell you all about her day!

She would be fine with just a few other calm cats, but she politely requests no kittens in her new home please! Mami would also make a good single cat.

Yesterday was new kitty day! Here are some new kitties!

Peanut Butter is a 3 month old female. She is so super sweet and silly!

Bugs is another 3 month old female. She’s always making goofy faces! It’s just the cutest.

Panda is a 3 month old male, and he is Trouble with a capital T! He loves to zoom around and cause kitten chaos.

All three of these little friends are great with other cats!

1139 adoptions! Mountain Dew + Crush, 7Up, Pepsi, and Doily all got adopted! We are so so happy our friend Doily finally found her home. She will be the only cat just like she wanted!

Well we didn’t win any cat stuff for Best Of, but we DID get 2nd Place for Best Tiny Free Library! Thank you all so much for recognizing us!

If you didn’t know, I run a program called where I take donations of gently used childrens books and distribute them to folks for free. Our Tiny Free Library here is just an extension of that!

If you or anyone you know could use some childrens books, please just swing by any time during our regular hours or shoot us a message! No strings attached, no questions asked.

Currently I’m working on a big project where I’m helping stock teachers’ classroom libraries! 📚

I also rescued about 100 boxes of like-new Scholastic books that were destined for the dumpster, and they’re eagerly awaiting to be read. Yes, 100 BOXES! Please come get some books!

That’s right, if you visit any day Monday thru Friday and show us your college ID, we’ll give you a little discount! We’re cooking up some other things for students as well, so keep an eye out! 📚

Our buddy James Bond is still looking for his people!
James is about 9 years old and is handsome as can be. He love naps in the windows, treats, and cuddles. ❤️ He’s not a huge fan of kittens, but he’d be ok with other calm cats.

James is unfortunately in the early stages of kidney disease. Currently he doesn’t need meds or special food, just monitoring. Our partner rescue .catrescue.pa has offered to take care of all of his medical care involving his kidney issues!
Cats with kidney disease can live long and happy lives with the appropriate care. My childhood cat Smokey Joe had kidney disease, and lived to be 16! ❤️ Please take a chance on our friend James. He deserves a happy home.

LOST CAT IN GREENTREE!: one of our previously adopted kitties, Louise, may have escaped her home through a hole under the sink. Please keep a look out for her near Chatham Park Drive in Green tree. We’re loaning her owner a trap and hoping she returns home safely!

REUNITED! We found our little calico friend’s owners! They were worried sick about her and I can’t thank you all enough for helping us reunite everyone ❤️ We had been calling her Sundae, but her real name is Mopsey and she has a little kitty friend at home that has been missing her very much. Everyone is so happy she’s home!

Meet Mookie!
We’re all kind of shocked this guy didn’t break our internet like pretty cats usually do. Mookie is a 3 year old flame point and he is just the chillest man alive. He loves to nap in the cat tree or on a chair, and appreciates a good scritch on the cheeks. Mookie doesn’t seem super interested in playing with toys or other cats, but he tolerates kitty friends just fine.

UPDATE!: we found her owners and she’s home safe!!

FOUND CAT: One of our staff members found this cat on Harriet St in the Friendship neighborhood. She is very friendly, but dirty and her hips seem to be bad. We checked for a chip and she doesn’t have one. We have her safely in the basement with everything she needs for now! ❤️ If no one claims her, we’ll get her to our partner rescue asap.

Meet Frylock (m), Meatwad (f), and Master Shake (m)! I’m sorry, I’m not an old enough of a millennial to have watched much Aqua Teen Hunger Force, so don’t expect any jokes about it.

These 5 month old siblings are still getting the hang of things around here, so they appear a little more shy than some of the other kittens! Frylock is usually wandering about, ready to sit in your lap or play a little. Meatwad seems to be the most shy, and will often be in a cubby somewhere but she is happy to be petted. Master Shake is just kind of a chill dude, here to hang out and get some scritches.

They are all good with other cats, and would probably do best with another kitten friend to cuddle!

Meet Imara! She’s a 2.5 year old calico with one special black toe. 🖤 Imara hasn’t had it very easy…she was brought up from a West Virginia kill shelter where was discovered to be totally blind and with bullets still lodged in her head.
Shockingly, nothing seems to phase this girl! She is just as friendly as can be and isn’t intimidated by the other cats or anything. She’s already found her way around the room no problem, and is getting along with all the cats. Most importantly, Imara LOVES people and will run right up to you to nuzzle and get petted! ❤️

Mami wanted to show off our newly scheduled paint nights! Featuring a very special Kids’ Paint Night on Sunday, September 22nd.

Kids’ night will run a little differently than our regular paint nights. We’ll get started a little earlier at 5pm. The painting design is simpler and the event only runs one hour, but your ticket includes a couple slices of pizza! 🍕Children 8 years of age and older can attend.

An adult guardian must purchase a ticket and be present in the cat room the entire time even if they are not painting. We ask that for every 2 children, there is 1 adult guardian.

If you’re an adult without kiddos wanting to paint this design, we will have a no-kids night with it in the future! So just hang tight. We’d like to save this particular event for kids and their guardians.

This is Precious Pete. He is, in fact, quite precious! This 1.5 year old guy LOVES hugs, and will reach his front paws up on your shoulders for a snuggle. When he’s not in cuddle mode, he likes to play with the wand toys. Pete likes other cats but could also be a single kitty just fine.
