This is my very special friend Rudy!

- He is currently our oldest cat in the room, at a young and spry 11 years old!
- Rudy has no teeth! He can still eat crunchies no problem, but he’s kind of messy.
- Speaking of messy, Rudy loves to splash in the water bowls.
- He is FIV+, but can live with FIV- cats just fine.
- Rudy is extremely handsome and loves to be petted and I’m obsessed with him.

Meet Foxglove, a 10 month old male kitten!
I love Foxglove’s silly little face. He always looks a little surprised. 😳
This guy likes to spend a lot of his day playing with the other young cats, and then he’s ready to cuddle up in your lap for a nap 🥰 He’s totally good with other cats and may do best with another kitten pal!

Foxglove is neutered, up to date on rabies/felv/feline distemper vaccinations, microchipped, FIV-/FELV-, dewormed, and up to date on flea preventative!

Key points to keep your cats safe:
- avoid feeding your cat raw poultry and raw milk.
- keep your cats INDOORS.
- if you do find your cat with a bird in its mouth, contact the Pennsylvania Game Commission and your veterinarian.
- monitor your cat for respiratory and neurological issues.

There is currently no treatment for bird flu in cats and it can be fatal.

Even though it is called the bird flu, other animals can catch it, and here is how you can keep your pets safe.

Meet Amelia!
Amelia is the oldest female cat in the room right now at 10 years old. In my opinion, that is NOT very old at all!
Amelia has the curse of RBF and may look a little grumpy, but she’s actually the sweetest girl in the whole world. As soon as she sees your hand coming, she will rub her face right into it and start making biscuits on her blankie.
She also likes other calm cats and will cuddle up with them 🥰

Amelia is spayed, up to date on rabies/felv/distemper vaccinations, microchipped, fiv-/felv-, dewormed, and up to date on flea preventative!

Hello, does anyone know why Benji is still here? 🤔 He’s 7 months old, super soft, and loves other cats! Ok, he’s a little shy and doesn’t come out from his comfy bed too often when groups are in the room…But who can blame him? It’s cold and miserable out, and he found the bed closest to the heat vent.

He would love to go to a home with another cat friend to cuddle. Oh, and he loves getting petted! ❤️

This is Forest! Today I learned that Forest LOVES friends! He wants to cuddle and snuggle another cat all day. 🥰

Forest is a 4 year old male. He doesn’t really like being out and about yet, but if you find him in a cubby, he would love to be petted! He especially loves his round cheeks scritched. And as you can see, he would love a cat friend to snuggle up with!

Forest is FIV+, which basically mean he can catch illnesses more easily than other cats. But keeping him indoors and up to date on vet visits is the key to keeping him healthy! If you do that, FIV+ often have the same life expectancy as FIV- cats. Forest can live with FIV- cats because it only gets transmitted through extremely deep bite wounds. Neutered indoor cats typically do not bite deeply enough for this to happen.

Other health stuff: Forest is neutered, up to date on rabies/felv/feline distemper vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on flea preventative! He is FIV+ but FELV-.

Apparently construction on Penn Ave is just gonna be nonstop and random for the next year.
Today they’re working right outside and it’s down to one lane. This WILL cause delays, so please give yourself extra time to get here. You can park on adjacent blocks and side streets. We’ll do our best to accommodate late arrivals!

Please, don’t abandon Penn Ave small business during this time! A lot of us have seen losses up to 40% because of construction, which is just devastating.

Adoption 1230 is a sad story with a happy ending. ❤️ In September, a wonderful cat named Precious Pete was adopted from us. He was so loved and spoiled in his new home! Unfortunately in December, he suddenly passed away from a congenital heart disease. This is such a devastating disease, because it often goes completely unnoticed until it’s just too late to treat.
Pete’s adopter was heartbroken, but today she was ready to welcome another kitty into her life and took Magnolia home. ❤️ We know they’re going to make each other so very happy.

Meet Pillow!

Pillow is a 7 month old girl. She’s had a real rough start to her life. She was found in a storm drain and required a whole team of folks to rescue her! Unfortunately, her rear right leg was too damaged to save and had to be amputated. But she’s all healed up and it doesn’t slow her down! I even saw her walk on our exercise wheel! 👏

Pillow is still a bit shy, but is warming up to humans. She enjoys a quite scritch on the cheek and has started playing with wand toys too. Pillow doesn’t mind other cats, and sometimes the other shy guys will join her in her hidey spots!

Pillow is spayed, up to date on vaccinations (rabies, feline leukemia, and feline distemper), microchipped, dewormed, FIV-/FELV-, and she is up to date on monthly flea preventative!

1228 adoptions! Rowan FINALLY went home. We’re so shocked it took her as long as it did, but I think she was just waiting for the perfect family. She was a little wiggly for her adoption picture, I think because she’s so excited to go home and play with her spring toys!

If there’s one thing we like around here, it’s a skrungly guy! Dandylion is 5 years old and he looks like a stuffed animal that’s been hugged a whole bunch.
Dandylion is so friendly, he loves to be petted and will often climb in your lap. ❤️ He’s very polite with other cats too!

Dandylion is neutered, vaccinated for rabies, feline leukemia, and feline distemper, microchipped, and FIV-/FELV-. He’s also had dewormer and we keep them up to date on flea preventative!
