Repost from Hi there! My name is Toby and I have been awaiting my forever home for almost 5 long months. Unfortunately, since I have been in the shelter for so long, I am beginning to suffer from kennel stress. Staff have put me on Steve Caporizzo's Pet Connection, made me my own dating profile, promoted me on the radio, and I still have not had anyone interested in taking me home with them. š
I am a super sweet boy who loves his humans and would love some moderate exercise so I can comfortably come back home and snooze the day away on the couch with you, under the blankets, of course! I love to hike, run alongside you, or just go out and sniff all the smells. I could live with another dog, but the more the merrier! I do love to pal around with the dog pack of large dogs here at Berkshire Humane Society, but would do best without any young kids. Calm, dog savvy kids age 10 and up would be okay though as well as a dog savvy cat!
The best situation for me would be a home in a lower traffic neighborhood without lots of kids around, no elementary schools across the street, please! I like to alert my people that things are happening outside.
Please share my story with anyone who can help me find my forever home as soon as possible so I can begin my new life outside of the shelter.
For more information, please visit our website at www.berkshirehumane.org or call the kennel staff at (413) 448-7878 ext.126 to learn more about me and how to make me your newest furry family member!
