Just a dog.
From time to time people tell me “chill out, it’s just a dog” or “it’s a lot of money just for a dog.” They don't understand the distance traveled, the time invested, or the costs incurred by "just a dog".
Some of my proudest moments have occurred with “just a dog.”
Many hours have passed being my only company "just a dog", but not for one moment did I feel despised. Some of my saddest moments have been because of “just a dog,” and on those gray days, the gentle touch of “just a Dog” gave me comfort and the reason to get through the day.
If you also think “it’s just a dog”, then you’ll probably understand phrases like “just a friend”, “just a sunrise” or “just a promise.” “Just a dog” brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust and pure unbridled joy. “Just a dog” brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person.
For "just a dog" I will get up early, take long walks and look forward to the future. So for me and people like me, it’s not “just a dog,” but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the memories of the past, and the absolute joy of the moment. “Just a dog” brings out the good in me and takes my thoughts away from myself and daily worries.
I hope one day they can understand that it’s not “just a dog”, but the one that gives me humanity and keeps me from being “just a human.” So the next time you hear the phrase “just a dog”, just smile because they “just don’t get it”.

Lucy gave birth to 6 healthy babes this morning! We have some spots available in the litter still..these are going to be standards—ready to go June 29th 😊

We have some news! Lucy and Truman live together off site and decided to bless us with one more litter before Lucy's spay. Pups will be here in about a week and will be a higher percentage of golden retriever but due to Truman's furnishing genes, should have the same low-shed coat as an F1. We will post the application at some point today or tomorrow for those of you interested in a standard-sized pup.
We have done a couple of litters with Truman and golden females previously, pictures can be found in our group. Some names that come to mind from those litters are Charlie, MaggieMae, Champ, Nelson, & Baxter 😀
The last of Rue’s babies went home today. I’m a little sad, but it really helps to see all the love these pups are getting already with their new families. Have a great life, Georgi! ❤️
Said goodbye to Mr. Man this morning. It was hard but I’m happy he’ll have a great life with his new sister, Scout. We’ll miss you, Jem ❤️

Wait til the end for Rufus’s characteristic weird noises 😂😂 Sorry for the lack of updates lately, these pups have got me chasing them all over the house and don’t stay still for pictures. They’re so excited to be going home this weekend!

Despite the open house today being a bust, the pups are still out here having the time of their lives. Who wouldn’t want to join in on this adorable puppy romp?! 🥺❤️
At 4.5 weeks old, the puppies already have a routine of eat and 💩 outside! All 10! And they’ve been using the litter pan inside instead of making a mess in their pen. I’m so proud of them!!
