If anyone would like to help, Dino at Majestic Wings Rescue could certainly use your attention.

From Majestic Wings Rescue :
I'm very sad to announce the fact Dino has a rare cancer. We can not remove the testicle, but we can laproscopically remove maybe 95% of the mass. The other testicle is slightly enlarged but we can't visually see that one. Dino has already had the hormone implant which will be on going for his lifetime. The cancer is not metastatic (has not spread) being the fact he is only 20, we would like to get him the best outcome possible. The surgery will be $2200 to $4400 as noted in the estimate. Dino is bonded to our Shamrock Macaw Polly. Polly had a stroke when she first came here, she will be lost without him.
I'm asking to please help us raise the funds Dino needs to prolong his life. Thank you all for helping.

"Happy huts," also known as cozy huts or snuggle huts, are small, soft-sided shelters designed to provide a secure and comfortable sleeping space for birds, including parrots. While they may seem like a cozy addition to a parrot’s cage, these huts can pose significant risks to the health and well-being of these birds.

The primary concern with happy huts is their impact on hormonal behavior. These enclosed spaces mimic nesting sites, which can trigger hormonal changes. Birds that become hormonal can be incredibly difficult to retrain, and their aggressive behaviors can severely impact their relationship with their human caretakers and other birds. The stress and hormonal imbalance caused by these huts can lead to long-term health problems and significantly diminish a bird’s quality of life.

Happy huts are often made from fabrics that shed microfibers. Birds ingest these fibers while preening, or chewing on the fabric, leading to a buildup in their digestive systems. This can cause crop impaction, a severe and often fatal condition where the bird’s crop becomes blocked. Even minimal contact with the fabric can result in fiber ingestion, posing a continuous risk to the bird’s health. Chewed huts may have strands that can easily become tangled around a bird’s legs, toes, or neck, leading to severe injuries or even death. Struggling to free themselves can tighten the strands, causing even more harm.

By understanding these risks, you can make more informed decisions about your birds environment. Prioritizing your bird's safety and health ensures a happier, longer life for them.
❌ RIPR says NO ❌ to not so happy huts!
